Let me start by saying that I don't find Ottawa to be one of the most innovative culinary scenes in Canada. But le Cordon Bleu does most things right.
It's old house decor is beautiful, service is excellent (in both English and French), there's a good wine selection, and menus are original.
I'm not giving it a perfect rating, because I find this restaurant to be a bit boring, and as predictable as a federal civil servant on a Tuesday morning. But it's still a great place to impress a date or bring out clients for lunch in the city.
