“Pleasant surprise”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 11, 2014

During a downpour we found refuge in this pub near Parliament Hill. We expected a tourist trap but choices were few. We were pleasantly surprised. Irish style dividers between the tables, large beer selection, and good reasonably priced Irish food. The Shepard's pie was very good.

“Decent Pub Grub!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 10, 2014

Called in here one night when on a visit to Ottawa recently.

The bar was packed, however we were seated quickly and service was quick. Good choice on the menu and good selection of drinks.

I opted for the 2 piece fish and chips. When it arrived it looked and tasted good, and the potion was a decent size.

If you are looking for something more upmarket then this is not the place for you, however if you want decent pub grub, then its worth a try!

This is a very friendly and active place in the heart of Ottawa.

You can sit outside on a nice day or night.

Our food was good and the service was top notch.

“Excellent Food And Service!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 4, 2014 via mobile

Man, where to start? We were looking for a place that was open late on a Wednesday and stumbled across this gem. We were unsure what to expect as we had basically just wandered in randomly. We basically fell in love instantly! Great great atmosphere! If you are a pub fan then you will love this place. We were not only impressed by how knowledgeable and friendly out waitress was,but with how HUGE their drink menu was. Being a craft beer snob I was thrilled to see their *wide* selection of craft brews. And the food! Honestly one of the best pot pies I have ever tasted (seafood). Overall an awesome place. Will return without a doubt next time we're in Ottawa

“Good food, good drinks”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 3, 2014

Right at the top of Sparks St. this was one of the few places open Sunday afternoon, with a patio, the Canada Day weekend!
Snack foods, and drinks were both very nice and reasonably priced for the location. The patio had a good amount of shade and service was very friendly although menus took a bit of time to come.
