Things started off well, but went downhill. We ordered crab cakes with the cilantro chimichurri sauce; the crab cakes were so-so and were not complimented at all well by the sauce. The 1/2 lobster in shell was ordered, and came covered in sauce which made it hard to extract the meat with a standard knife and fork provided. The NY Strip Loin was ordered, what came was a 12 oz. NY Strip - a totally different menu item. Our server, although friendly, forgot us when it came to taking orders for coffee and dessert! Would definitely not pay a return visit.

A beautiful and welcome addition to the Glebe restaurant scene. Gone is the Southern, barn-like decor of the much-lamented Mexicali Rosa, and its mediocre, short-lived follower. The inside part of the restaurant is beautifully appointed, with its striking bar and large high tables. But why this obsession with large screen - I counted six of them - plasma TV's, which nobody watches anyway? Is this a restaurant or a sports bar? Go figure.
The two-part patio (one-half covered, the street-side part open, with large umbrellas), lies unfortunately on the Bank street side; however, it is is huge, pleasant and well-designed, with some well-thought and beautiful landscaping and a firepit.
The menu is eclectic, the wine and liquor list is well-balanced, and the service is cheerful and attentive.
After the flowers comes the pot, and I mean the food of course. Which is hit and mostly miss, but also very, very expensive for what you get. Here is the detail of what we had last night. Two somewhat watery margaritas ($9 apiece), a decent order of nachos (reminiscent of Mexicali Rosa's) @ $12, one order of sea scallops (4 pieces) peerfectly cooked, on a bed of mushy, greasy and overly salty arboreto rice with small pieces of spicy - and salty -chorizo, and some wilted greens ($31); and an appetizer order of steak tartare ($18!!!) consisting of about one oz.(three bites!) of hand-cut beef, very poorly seasoned, with a poached egg, three small pieces of toasted flatbread, and a funny and totally out of place drizzle of bourbon-infused.... caramel!!, plus a $5 order of good French fries. Add to that two 6 oz.glasses of a good Niagara region Rosé wine ($9 apiece), well chilled and served in nice wine glasses.
Total, $130 (with taxes and tip) for a somewhat mediocre dinner that did no do justice to the decor - and the quality of the service. Would I go back? Yes, but only for nachos and a drink or two on the patio.

Burnt and too spicy ribs, Fried chicken tasteless, no vegetables, dry leche cake. Came to $128 for 3 entrees , i1cake,1 beer and one glass of wine, far too much for what we got. Just go there to drink I guess as the staff is friendly enough and they have many tables outside with a breeze.

Food, drinks and service were all great. Special drinks on the menu were fun. The food was tasty, hot and presented nicely with a variety of condiments to accentuate the seafood plates. The 4 of us were cautioned that the restaurant was jammed with a group of 35 ppl in the progress of ordering. We were cool with it, thanked the waitresses and drank around it. We will be back!

Went for family birthday dinner. Nice selection of oysters from the raw bar. Burgers were tasty but a bit overdone. Mexican standbys were as expected. Service was pretty good. Don't go looking for a really over the top experience but if you keep expectations moderate you'll do fine.
