A friend and I spotted the 3 Brewers while shopping at the Kanata Centrum and decided to try it for lunch. It's located in the "square" just in front of the Empire Theaters. The restaurant is vast -- inside has seating on two levels, with a nice, covered patio in front and a second patio upstairs. The interior decor is pseudo-Victorian warehouse. Quite nice. We chose to sit in the covered patio downstairs. The service was attentive and the servers knew the menu and the beers on tap very well. I ordered the penne pesto chicken lunch special and my friend had the BB burger (bacon cheeseburger) with fries. My dish was nice, nothing really special, but tasty enough. The pesto was good, very garlicky, and the slices of chicken were nice and moist. My friend said her meal was good, again nothing special, but a decent burger. I had a pint of the blonde beer and a half pint of the IPA. My friend had a pint of the amber. The beer was nice, but we thought they all had a bit of a bitter after taste. In my opinion, the IPA was not quite hoppy enough. All in all, we had a pleasant lunch. This would be a good spot to catch a bite either before or after a movie. Basically it met our expectations as another big box Kanata restaurant.
