Three of us sat at the bar on a monday night. It was busy, but not crowded.
Ordered a Caesar (great) and a bottle of Tempranillo (middling).
The food really stood out though.
Oysters (fresh, with all the fixings)
Beets salad (great)
Tuna (didn't try it, but I was told it was very good).
Crab on toast with ham (very good)
Potato/Egg/Roe (surprisingly good).
All in all it was the best food I've had in Ottawa in a long time. Great grub, no pomp, nice place. It is perhaps also worth noting that the food had improved since the last time I was there (shortly after the restaurant opened).
As a couple of the other reviewers have noted, it is too loud. But if you ask, as we did, they'll turn it down.
