It has an incredible selection and the staff are pleased to help you select your tea. They are knowledgeable about their products and the price is reasonable. During the summer, they have an outside patio setting and the site is central to allow you to enjoy the reknowned Ottawa Byward Market. We enjoyed a "Pot for two" while people watching. We'll definitely be back again.

My daughter tooled me to this store about 5 years ago and every time I travel to Ottawa I make sure to drop in. They have a very large selection of loose teas at excellent prices and frequent buyer cards to earn free tea. There are several cafe tables in the shop to sit down for a cup of your favourite tea and biscuit.

An awesome range of teas. I had the scone, which was huge and yummy. Prices are well affordable and I appreciated the friendly staff in the store.

The Tea Store was a great escape from chilly -10c and snowing weather. There was a huge variety of teas to sample including green teas, rooibos, black, oolong, herbal, etc. very reasonable pricing - $3.25 for a pot for 1. I loved the atmosphere and was able to warm up, enjoy some tea and relax.

On a busy Byward Market Street you can get the the best cup of tea ever. You can even choose your own from amongst the over 300 varieties ranged tidily in large jars on the shelves. There are green, white, black and herb teas from India, Sri Lanka and Nepal, China, Japan and Kenya. Some teas are organic. House blends can be made to your taste at the blending station. The tea comes by the sachet in a cup or in a pot for two. There are seasonal teas-pumpkin spice around Thanksgiving and Halloween and a variety of interesting iced teas in the summer. If you want a 'cream tea' sort-of British style, there are wonderful scones baked on the premises fresh everyday along with cookies, lovely cakes and 'squares'.. My favourite is the spice cake and the seasonally, pumpkin cheesecake which is light as air and something to die for. At lunch time you can treat yourself to Frans' exotic veggie sandwiches-crushed fiery Sicilian olive and cream cheese on baguette anyone? There are a few tables outside in the summer. When you need to meet a friend, write up your lecture notes or have a business meeting or just sit people watch-go to the Tea Store and get the Suzanne the knowlegable and personable owner or her knowledgeable, helpful young staff brew you a great cup or pot of tea.
