We arrived at 11:45, nice and early so we could get in before the crowd. And there were plenty of empty tables when we were seated. But at 12:45 we left hungry, as our food had not yet arrived. I felt bad for the wait staff, they did their best, but the kitchen definitely has some efficiency problem. Our orders were simple (burger) and it wasn't just our table, not much food was coming out of the kitchen at all.

Note to management, in a case like that, give the waiting, hungry patrons, nuts, popcorn or bread, anything to hold them over.

Pretty spot on Dow's Lake but do yourself a favour and pack a picnic (or pick up take-out on the way) and have a nice picnic by the lake. Save yourself the aggravation !!

Love hamburgers. Nine times outa ten, that's what I order at triple D's. Have shied away from frozen burgers for a long time now and always ask if the hamburger on the menu is fresh or frozen. The waiter said it was frozen, the same you get at Costo's claiming it was delicious. Sorry, but it's still a frozen burger and doesn't compare to a fresh one reminding me never to order a frozen one again.

The toppings were fine - very generous with the bacon (yumm!), and the salad was fresh. The fries were frozen, and that's to be expected these days, I guess, but they were somewhat hollow and tasteless.

The waiter did his best to make us feel welcome and was attentive - kudos there!

We start our Winterlude day with our nieces with breakfast at Malone's. We made reservations on their website and even though we were early, we had no problems getting in and warmed up with coffee (even the decaf was ready) and with picky eaters there was still no problem getting what we wanted. The food was great and the service was as well. This is our second time here for Winterlude and both times were great!

We skated down the Rideau Canal to this restaurant. The food was great quality- everything tasted awesome, and the potions were large. Both of our entrees came with a side of fries AND salad- which were very good. Clean & friendly staff. Would def go there again & recommend.
