Ottawa is so green. The greenbelt is like a lung in the city, with good cycle paths and friendly people (I could have talked to the lock keeper about real ale all day!) Good for a cycle, a walk or a picnic.

I have grown up near the greenbelt - a strip of green, forested and lush greenery through the heart of Ottawa with a well-maintained cycling/rollerblading/walking pathway throughout. You can get pretty much from one end of the city to another on the path...and it ranges through rivers, hills, corn fields, water reservoir, the Experimental Farm, even a golf driving range - if you come to Ottawa, get someone to show you one of the many entrances to the path and then just ride. Beautiful!

This is a national treasure with well kept parks, driveways and waterways. Drive,Bike and Skate around Ottawa through the parkway and enjoy the scenery of the Ottawa River. In the Winter, enjoy the Greenbelt's well kept ski hill for both down hill and cross country

Great place to go alone, with your lover or in family. Lots of nature, take a great breath not too far form downtown! Great place to go and to visit. Special mention to the "mer bleue" ... Wonderful!

To visit Mer Bleue Bog is to step back 8,000 years.

Spectacular beauty and peaceful.

Walk any length of the 3 km trail, listen to the soft song of many bird species.

The birch trees too, sing in the wind.

Perfect for any age. Pic nic tables, benches and toilets available.

Parking is ample and is free.

Drive to the end of the road, parking on the right side.

A perfect place to get away from the city and to feel deep peace in Nature.

Enjoy!

Namaste.
