What an outstanding piece of architecture chosen to house some of Canada's national treasures! Interactive displays and films, snack and gift shops and an unbelievable wing devoted to rocks, minerals and meteorites. Great value for an entire afternoon of family fun.

A lot of fun for kids, but I think is good also for adults. There are several sections, dinosaurs, life at the artict and in the ocean, rocks and gems, how vulcanos and earthquakes works, birds and more. There are a lof of interactive activities for kids and we had a lot of fun trying them, even though we aren't kids anymore

Unfortunately we didn't have time to see the whole museum, or the 3-D natural disaster movie. We did see the natural disaster special exhibition which was fascinating, and the blue gallery (about sea life). Next time I would like to check out the other exhibitions. A bonus is seeing the historic building in which the museum is housed, which was the interim parliament building in the early 1900's. It has beautiful tiffany glass windows.

This is a wonderful museum with impressive displays. We did not pay the extra for the special exhibit but purchase tickets for the 3D show on tornadoes which we did enjoy. I would like to go back without my kids so that I could send more time reading all the information displays; my children wanted the visual interactive experiences rather than the reading.

It was worth to visit after all the renovations. Everything looks great. new collections, and exhibitions. my kid was amazed by this visit, even it wasn't the first time to go. there isn't free visit on Saturday morning anymore. try to pick a pass from Ottawa library instead, do place a hold just check the availability and go in person and pick it. Parking was difficult even with going early, so prepare a plan B for other places to park around.
