I love Ottawa River Parkway for the great cycling path that runs right beside the river. In Summer, between May and September, the Parkway westbound lane is closed to traffic on Sundays between 9am and 1pm for cyclists, runners, inline skaters, walkers. There are several beaches along the parkway, such as Westboro and Britannia, etc. Its a great place for people who love the great outdoors.

In the early spring you can watch the ice break up on the Ottawa River. It is a great pathway to walk or bike along. The beaches provide nice entry points to put in kayaks or canoes but in hot summer weather bathing can be iffy/

This Parkway is a nice ride or a long walk foir all seasons: Tulip festival in the spring, skating on the canal in winter.

With a stop for the couple of restaurant found along the way this is a very interesting place to explore
