Of course, Art-is-In is most known for its bread and pastries but the lunch sandwiches are great too. Brought a couple of foodie friends from out of town here and they loved it too. Not a fancy place at all, much the opposite in fact, but who cares when the food and service and funky ambience is so great. My only complaint is that it is rather pricey for baked goods but otherwise it is wonderful.

My daughters and I are usually over the moon with Art Is In at lunch for sandwiches. Amazing flavours and choices, breads are incredible. We decided to try the new pizza nights they've started. We were so excited when we arrived to a totally different atmosphere than lunch, with candles on the tables, low lighting, table service. We ordered our pizza, but then had to wait for over an hour to receive it. We weren't sure what was happening and when we tried to make eye contact with our server she avoided us. When the pizza finally came the flavour was amazing (Middle of the East) but the pizza was cold! Which was disappointing. We had ordered a second pizza too, Nonna's, and it didn't come out for quite a long time after the first one, and it too was cold! I don't know about you but we like pizza to be hot. So not sure if because pizza night is relatively new for Art Is In they're just figuring things out but it would help to get that pizza out to the table when it's still hot!

Love this place, definitely recommend! Favorite is the sourdough rosemary garlic bread and any sandwich with pulled pork/carnitas is delicious!! But located in Ottawa and so close to Hull/Gatineau, it really needs to have menus available in French please :) went today with french speaking family members and were surprised that none were available in French. Would very much appreciate this as we do have a lot of french speaking family and friends that we would love to bring here when visiting area.

Walk into this restaurant bakery located in a nondescript industrial area of Ottawa, and the simple interior transports you into a gastronomical world where honest, fresh ingredients are masterfully reworked by Chef Kevin. Truly inspired flavourful pizza toppings such as meatballs, complemented by home-made pesto sauce or an assortment of mushrooms partnered with a variety of cheeses including a touch of blue cheese, are presented on a sourdough, sprinkled with toasted sesame seeds for a buttery delicious bread base that is simply inspired. I have enjoyed a lot of pizza in my life from Italy to New York, but chef Kevin’s takes it to a whole new level. Don’t miss it if you are in the Ottawa area!

We ordered to a pizza to go. We ordered the Hawaii 50. I had asked for no onions and no jalapeno's on half. When we got home, we saw that the edges of the pizza crust were burnt. Their were Jalapeno's on the whole pizza, even though it was written on the box no onions & Jalapeno's on half. We couldn't tell which half had onions.
The pizza itself was very tasty, except for finding onions under the pineapple. $45 I expected that the instructions would be followed.
