We stayed here in March '12, and were pleased with what we received for our two nights. The staff were very pleasant, helpful, and available for any questions/requests. It's not a high-end fancy hotel, but is very clean and fairly new. I found it to be very quiet, considering there were dozens of adult hockey players partying there for the duration of our trip. Not sure if it's the design, but we were on the same floor as the party goers and heard very little at night.
The "suite" room was a nice size, with a seperate living area with couch and half-size fridge, microwave, etc. There were 2 large TVs in the suite. The bedroom did not have a door seperating it from the living area (which I found a bit strange). Everything was clean and very comfortable. It was a good basic room, nothing fancy, but had what we needed.
The hotel has a pool, (which we did not use) but it looked nice. No hot tub or slide, but a comfortable setting in which to sit and watch the kids. Strangely enough, there was not one kid in the hotel that we saw while there. Could be the timing, where it was mid-week.
The breakfast was good, with lots of choices to choose from. Closes kind of early at 9:30, but we were able to bring a plate upstairs at last minute.
The location of this hotel is very good. Easy to find, just off the ramp from highway coming from Ottawa. It's about a 15-20 minute drive from Ottawa in non-peak traffic times. There is a great shopping area just a 3-minute drive from this hotel, which features the new kind of "power shopping" (all outdoor access) with several chain restaurants. Note that my rating for restaurant is on what is nearby, as there is no restaurant onsite.
This is the closest hotel to the Scotiabank Center, where we ventured for the Senators hockey game and Van Halen concert. Having said that, it's a lot further than it looks. We walked both times, and it's a good 15-20 minute walk. Nice when it's warm. but wouldn't be on a cold or rainy day. It cost $6.30 by cab to go one way.
Overall, I was happy with this hotel, and would stay here again. Not a cheap place though, as our room was $180 per night.

We chose this location because we were going to a show at the Scotia Bank Place. The location in fantastic. It was a sunny warm afternoon so it was a nice walk, maybe 1km. The room was spacious and quiet. The included breakfast in the morning was fantastic. We really could not have asked for anything more.

I stayed at this property for 3 nights while in town for business. The hotel is located convenient to the highway and dining/shopping amenities but that's it. When I checked in, the front desk clerk may as well not have been present as she did not offer any information i.e. pool was closed for repairs- I discovered it was out of commission when I went down to use it. She definitely did not exude customer service considering that this is afterall the hospitality industry. The fitness centre is really small, so be prepared to be comfy close to the next person using the centre. The free breakfast menu items are the same every day- mundane and boring. The rooms are okay and nothing special. The heating system stays on non-stop. There is no thermostat where it turns off automatically when it reaches the desired temperature. Therefore, be prepared for a noisy sleep. The beds are equipped with 3 pillows- one for the head and the other two to muffle the noise from the non-stop fan. If I had to come back into this area again, I may consider returning simply for the convenient highway access, but I will search other options first before booking here again.

Hotel is on the newer side and in great shape. Service was great. We stayed on a Sens hockey night, and the place was jammed -with fellow fans and also travel teams. The breakfast bar was shoulder to shoulder the next morning, so be prepared to wait. It isn't really within walking distance of Scotiabank Place - especially on a snowy night. The King Bedroom Suite did not have a door on it, like every other Country Inns we've stayed at - it is not a separate room. It has a door jam and frame for a door, just no door. So don't expect to get some peace and quiet from the kids! Sleeping was fine, and the place was quiet without any light leaking in.

Room Tip: Suites are not separate bedrooms. The hotel website says that the pull out bed can only sleep one, but our 5 yr old kids fit no problem.

I had read the other reviews and took a chance. This was a great place. Rooms are spacious with very comfortable beds and pillows. Bathrooms are a bit small but workable. Nice rain showerhead. Rooms quiet.
Free Internet worked good.
Morning breakfast was better than other business focused hotels.
Staff very friendly and helpful. Parking no problem.
I highly recommend this hotel to business travelers as well as families.
