Great waffles for brunch and amazing sanwiches and sies for lunch or dinner. The owner smokes the meat, fish and veggies himself. Nice, laid-back but not grubby atmosphere. My new go-to place for friend and family get togethers.

At the hotel, convenient, clean. Free wifi. Friendly staff and open early enough to be useful

Perfect little spot - and it has great vegan options too! If you go on the weekends, you can get a fun fresh breakfast menu in addition to their standard pressed sandwiches (which are anything but standard). I would definitely recommend this place to even the pickiest people. Relaxed atmosphere, high quality food. This little place will burst at the seams once more people discover it - so go quick!

A friend of my son works here as the chef/cook, and had been telling us about the great food he had been making. On Sunday they feature a Waffle Brunch where they serve waffles with an amazing variety of toppings. Being lactose intolerant I did not order the waffles, instead electing to try the beef brisket chilli; an unusual combination, but one that proved to be extremely tasty combined with a Chipotle potato salad. It was nice to have "bottomless" coffee, but it was a bit weak. Others in our party of seven did try the waffles. My wife had an egg Benedict waffle which was cooked perfectly (she likes they cooked hard), and others ordered the "Hangover" waffle which was topped with the same house smoked brisket that was in my chilli covered with cheese curds. It was equally good as was the smoked chicken croquet with cherries and maple syrup. The restaurant only serves the waffle combinations on sundays; regular fare features pressed sandwiches based around their house smoked meats & vegetables.

I've been to Pressed 3 or 4 times now since it opened in December. It's located on Gladstone, just west of Bronson, across from Cambridge St. School. Very walkable from the Glebe, and well worth the walk.

The sandwiches are great and very reasonably priced ($8-10). They also have soups and desserts (many gluten free from Aunty Loos). The smoked chicken sandwich is awesome, as is the margarita. Others have had the smoked trout and brisket and loved them.

They have kids meals (hot dogs, grilled cheese or mac n chees) as well as colouring pages and some Melissa and Doug toys. The interior is great, and the owner seems very nice.

Being a new place, they seem to be working out a few kinks with service. Service is very friendly and pleasant, but orders get mixed up more often then they should, and they need a better system for figuring out which orders go to which tables.

That said, definitely one of my favourite new places.
