Show lessDecent place. Rooms are clean and quiet. Staff friendly and helpful. If you like having space ask about their suites...not much more cost but a lot more room. Only.downside was breakfast...not much variety. No meat. and the stuff u make waffles with seemed watered down. But if your looking for convenient and are budget conscious. this is the place to stay.
Thank you for your feedback, I'm sorry the breakfast was not to you linking.
I recently stayed here with four other bus drivers. Parking was ample, even with 5 coaches. There is a restaurant attached to the hotel which I didn't use. I opted instead to use the grocery store across the street. There are ample fast food restaurants within walking distance as well. Access to the downtown is near by. The room was clean and comfortable with all the basic necessities in them. The staff was very accommodating and friendly.
Thank you so much for sharing your experience, it is appreciated.
My partner and I drove in from Toronto and had booked online for two nights, Friday August 26th and Saturday August 27th in order to attend our Niece's Wedding which was nearby. My partner's Goodlife Gym Membership lowered the base rate by 20%, a fantastic deal! (So we were surprised to see the final bill with additional line items of $2.88 + $.37 HST/ night for the "Destination Market Fee" or "DMF", which was not discussed with us upon booking, nor confirming the cost of the stay over the phone, nor discussed with us at checkout when presented with the bill.) My partner phoned the hotel this morning to have the DMF reimbursed. The front staff were very pleasant and helpful throughout our stay (both the two younger women, and the older gentleman : sorry we've forgotten their respective names) and allowed us to have a late checkout on our Sunday departure which was very much appreciated ... however, the room cleaning staff did not get the message and she barged into our room as we were sleeping, even with the "do not disturb sign" clearly visible on the hallway side door handle....perhaps an oversight in communication from front desk to room staff? Our room was well appointed, very clean and most importantly the air conditioner worked very well! The TV sound kept cutting out on the cable channels which was annoying, but was fine for our movie rental. Each of our two queen beds had a choice of 3 great pillows to choose from: feather, dense and lighter foam. The hair dryer did not appear to be in working order, although it could have been the fuses? The night table dual alarm clock was not set, and we both found it way too complicated to figure out so we used a cellphone for a clock and alarm. The building elevators were rather slow during our stay as they were often being used by the staff for linen carts and trolleys...we wondered if there was a separate service elevator? The Brew Pub being attached to the lobby of the Inn is awesome and was particularly handy for dinner and lunch. As others have noted, the free breakfast offered in the room off the lobby is a bit of a free-for-all! First come, first dibs! You snooze, you basically get cereal and toast! The Brew Pub, although not "cost free" has a great breakfast menu as a more relaxed alternative. The Inn is located close to a large number of fast food restaurants and a major grocery store for shopping. There's also a gas station and car wash next door at Canadian Tire, which came in handy. Days Inn is located less than 5 minutes to the 416 Hwy for getting in and out of town, and the 417 /Queensway, Baseline and Hunt Club Rds, which are great for getting downtown or over to Quebec, or across town to the train station and airport. I'd recommend you choose Days Inn, as it provides a more budget conscious choice to the more expensive Holiday Inn down the street.
Thank you for your comments, although I dont believe the Brew Table serves breakfast.
Checked in August 26, 2016 and checked out August 28,2016. The hotel was comfortable but definetly needs a bit of upgrading, seems a little outdated but otherwise the hotel was comfortable and well maintained. The hotel is located in a convenient location as it is within walking distance to many shops and restaurants. Breakfast was a bit of a disaster each morning, they had a room that only accommodates about 25 people for a full hotel it was very packed and very limited food was available. The staff also seemed very overwhelmed, but they were very friendly and personable. The check in was okay, I checked in on Friday at 12pm for an early check in and it took a while to check in because the gentleman seemed all over the place. Check out went much better, very smooth and efficient. There were about 4 individuals all waiting to be checked out and we were all properly checked out within 5 minutes or less.
The front desk girl seemed to know her job very well, was very curtious and friendly.
Thank you for your feedback, the breakfast room does get a bit busy but please if you return please ask for the additinal room to be opened if it is not already.
For the price you pay, it was a good stay, clean hotel, nice staff, good breakfast. 2 Queen beds in the room are good for a family stay. You can't compare an Inn with a 3-4 star hotel, so comparable to an Inn its an excellent stay for the price.
Thank you for your positive feedback.
