Excellent facility all around including rooms, facilities, breakfast, staff, etc. It is located in a very interesting area, but with easy access to downtown Ottawa. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.
- Free Wifi
- Free Parking
best place clean friendly staff and close to all and i mean all attractions
This was a nice place to stay as far as the room was concerned - the parking was a bit difficult in terms of borderline not enough spaces - but the breakfast was a mad-house with so much noise and not enough room to spread out... I sat down the first morning and had a lady tell me to move my chair -- that she couldn't scoot her chair back, and I am not a large person, either -- there just was not enough space for the number of people that the room had to accomodate. Lots of noise -- could not hear my husband -- we almost had to shout to hear eachother. The staff people were very nice overall -- and I would suggest to them to move the tables out into the foyer during breakfast as one other Hampton Inn did where we stayed near Toronto. It gave us much more "elbow room" than this one did.
We only stayed overnight, but would stay here again if visiting Ottawa. The room was neat, clean and large and the staff was friendly and helpful. The location is in a downtown-type area, but the area is clean and safe - across the street from the RMCP facility! Parking is in an underground garage. After rush hour, the traffic is no problem to get to restaurants. The breakfast was excellent.
My husband and I stayed at the Hampton Inn for two nights at the end of July and had a wonderful time.
The front desk staff were AMAZING- incredibly nice and accommodating.
Breakfast is included with your stay and it's huge. There's cereal, yogurt, eggs, bacon/sausage, waffles, breads, muffins etc. It was definitely a plus in staying at the Hampton because it's one less meal we had to buy for the day.... and it was big enough and yummy.
The rooms were very clean and large. I especially like the linens at the Hampton, even the duvet is washed for each guest, and they're not the old style comforters that you're scared to lie on because of germs! The beds are comfortable too and there is a fridge and microwave in the rooms, which is a bonus if you're bringing your own food.
The location is southeast and right beside Ottawa Stadium. There is the St Laurent Mall down the street as well. It's not downtown, but if you have a car, it's a nice place to stay.
I stayed for three nights while in town on business. I found the room to be a good size, and the microwave and fridge to be convenient. Free parking, but you do have to drive to get to most restaurants. Check-in was very efficient and the staff were very friendly. Will definitely be back on future trips.
