My husband and I stayed at the Sheraton Ottawa during a self-made long weekend, to catch up with friends and see a concert in Ottawa. We got an excellent price through Tourism Ottawa for a "Club floor" room with a king-sized bed. The room was clean and spacious; the Sheraton Sweet Sleeper bed never disappoints, and noise levels were good (we were right next to the ice machine, so there was some late-night traffic). There are aspects of the room that *could* do with some minor upgrading - some wood panelling makes the room feel a little dated, and the washroom is nice but not spectacular. Very minor complaints.

As part of our Club room we got free continental breakfast - both the food and service were excellent (I think the regular breakfast price is $16). We also received vouchers for free evening hors d'oeuvre (5-8pm in the lounge), but were out for those times and didn't make it to that.

The location of the Sheraton is quite convenient - close to Parliament, Rideau Centre, Byward Market, Canal and all the things you normally see when in Ottawa. It's right on the main bus routes to get you to the airport (we took it mid-afternoon, not too much hassle) or to Scotiabank Place (where our concert was held) or anywhere else in town (remember that a Day Pass is good for two adults or a family of four on weekends!).

I would definitely stay here again, particularly with the type of deal we got through Tourism Ottawa.

A central location, friendly staff, and the usual Sheraton comfortable rooms all added up to a predictable stay.

I stayed here for one night and was generally content with my stay. It is a typical mid-level business hotel and it is up to standard.

The location is really good, right in Centretown core. From the airport it is faster to hop on the express Transitway bus than to take a train, and there is a stop practically outside the hotel. It is walking distance to pretty much everything downtown (or a very cheap cabride to the market.

The room I was given was large and everything were, as noted, up to standard. The bathroom was spacious, but not particularly impressive. The room does not have a safe, which I thought was peculiar. Overall the room was comfortable but decor was pretty average. As I said, mid-level business hotel. Not luxury, but not bad either.

Overall, reasonably good stay.

Just returned last week from a trip to Ottawa. Stayed at Sheraton Ottawa, great experience, had reservation thru Orbitz for 2 double beds, I asked to change to king bed, no problem. They were very helpful with directions and always greeted us in a friendly manner. The bed was heavenly and we had a big room. I would go again and recommend to friends. From there we had evrything at our fingertips. Short walk to Parliament Hill, Byward Market, awesome. Tim Hortons just around the corner. This hotel is easily reached via publilc bus from airport (cheapest way). We enjoyed Ottawa tremendously, what a great, clean beautiful city. Hope to see it again.

Stayed 2 nights with family (2 rooms). Hotel meets expectations for a Sheraton. Glad to see that the rooms had Flat Screen TVs and surprised to see a universal connector hub to TV so you could connect your laptop or your own device like a portable DVD or Camera (you need to supply the wires to hub).

Pros: For the price ($14 plus taxes) the breakfast buffet is amazing! Excellent service and quite an array of food - excellent value. Free internet in lobby/business center and free use of up-to-date Dell computers. Indoor pool was open 24 hours, not too big but refreshing. Excellent beds with lots of pillows (2 doubles in our case).

Cons: Room service (maid) was done late requiring us to leave for a while and took time for it to get done. Parking is valet only, which for us was good, but may not be suitable for all; however excellent service there. Bathroom and room decor showing a little wear and tear.

Would stay there again.
