I pass by two second cups and a Starbucks before I get to a bridgehead in the morning and I wouldn't have it any other way.
The coffee is better. I imagine the "fair trade" piece isn't completely legit as it rarely is.It does make me feel a little better about going to Bridgehead. Also that it is a local business and not a giant conglomerate. I think this draws a different sort of staff though. Not TOO cheery like at Starbucks and don't ignore me like at Second Cup. I like this happy medium.
They always get the soy right, my partner has never has cross-contamination issues with their lattes.( He typically does at Starbucks because they don't clean it very well in between.) The staff will get to know you! They know me by now and know that I'm vegan and "no whip" isn't even a question!
They have lots of great food too. Soups are usually vegan and mighty- delicious! If you are in there and see Red Lentil Soup on the board make sure you grab a cup to try it.
Desserts and more limited. The only thing a vegan can really eat in the Granola Cookie which is made with cashew butter. So if you are vegan and have a nut allergy it kinda sucks for something sweet.
Can't wait for the new Roasting Shop opening this spring at Preston and Anderson!
