Description: The Aulde Dubliner & Pour House is a 2-storey bar located in the historical Byward market. It boasts genuine Irish cuisine while touching on some Canadian standards. The Dubliner's bar has been shipped straight from Ireland and assembled by Irish workers to preserve the authenticity of the bar. Some may argue that it has the best Guinness in town. The upstairs portion has a superior vantage point for viewing the market's hustle and bustle, the outdoor mezzanine is a very popular for this reason. Guests can enjoy live music on the weekends starting at 6:30 pm.

“Dinner on the Patio”
Reviewed June 14, 2014

The pub was packed, the service still good and fast for drinks and orders. We were told that the kitchen was backed up and so we ordered food quickly as we were hungry. The beer/draught was cold, the wine good and the environment was energetic and fun and relaxed. The food did take a little while to arrive but the wait was not ridiculous. All was tasty and the right temperature. The service by Jess was excellent. We would return!

“nice place for a drink”
Reviewed June 3, 2014

We went there in the evening for a drink.
Very nice bartender(Rick), who gave us some advice on the beer.
We had a look at the menu for the following day, and they have a great variety of food.

“Great Pub food and Patio ! "Slainte" !!”
Reviewed May 12, 2014

Wonderful Irish Pub in the Byward market area ( and there are a few !) ! Spacious patio, plus two levels inside. Upper level has little balconies with table seating as well. Nice hostess and good wait staff and large TV for those who want to watch "the game ". Bustling inside and out - think "People watching" !

Do try the fish and chips ! Probably the best I have ever had ( an award winner according to the menu) - two large succulent pieces of haddock in a tasty non-greasy batter. Hand-cut fries and trimmings. Just 16 $ ( took half the meal home). My other half had the New York steak which was tender and generous with an amazing sauce on the side. Also generous portion size. Pint of beer and glass of wine with food came to just over 45$ tax incl. sans tip.

If you have room for dessert there is a Beavertail and Hansel and Gretl type Artisanal ice cream "shack" across the street right next to the main entrance to the Byward market.

Will definitely return and if consistent then it probably will become my go to place in this busy area - great value.
