Visited this restaurant with a family member. Had done our research, so we knew what to expect in terms of the menu, etc. Decided to do the wine pairing as well, to have the full experience. Very glad we did. Food as art is an understatement, and there was great attention to detail. Some portions would have little accents -- spices, herbs, mousse - which each changed the flavour of the dish in question. Some favourites - a light & airy foie gras, cool and creamy with accompanying accents, a delicious crab with lemon, the quirky beer & nachos (which, if I remember correctly, was beer heated, which formed into crispy swirls, served over a bed of powdery peppers, spices, cheese & sour cream.) Other dishes included squid and elk, as well as the hilarious "area 59" dessert. The wine pairings - from a light prosecco to an excellent barolo with an english oaky beer to change things up - were interesting and thoughtfully explained. It's a marathon experience -- very enjoyable, and one I would definitely do again.
