“Big portions, well organized.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 22, 2012

There is always a line up at Teddys. You can expect a clean restaurant with promp service. They always start with water at the tables and are very knowledgable of the menu and sides that come with them. The portions are large and the food comes out hot. As for homemade, not all of it is. Their house dressing is homemade but has MSG in it. It is salty but tasty, if you can get past the msg. The place feels like a step back in time to me and the menu reflex a 1970's kind of fare. The prices are good for the food you get and it is a relaxed and warm atmosphere. The strawberry pie is a specialty but I have never thought it was all that great. I don't like the crust, it is slighly bitter, and they put fresh (sometimes ripe) strawberries on it, and pour this goopy stuff over it! The coconut pie is better in my opinion. Its the closest place around that has some what homemade type food topped with large portions makes people line up. We don't have alot of selection in the area to compare at this price range.
They are not open late, but do serve breakfast!

“Famous for lineups, huge portions, rude family owners”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 20, 2012

Teddy's is super famous for its long line-ups which do move quickly while your mouth salivates & you change your mind at least 5 times on what to order once seated. Also famous for their massive portions. What I find very disturbing is how shoddy the waitstaff are treated by the key family members who run the place.
When we first began eating at Teddy's the staff were longstanding regulars who seemed like family on the rouster. However; it seems that since the renovation took place all of those old standby waitresses who were AMAZING all left and if you are a regular at Teddy's you will notice an absolute turnover with their waitstaff now. Why ? Because they are treated like dirt by the owners and that along with the crazy hectic pace of the place proves to be too much.
Teddy's has ALWAYS been a fast-paced, well organized powerhouse but the old staff and the old attitude by the owners - supervisors of the waitstaff has really descended. It's predominant much of the time when dining there.
Wake up Teddy and treat your staff with the respect & appreciation that they deserve my man !

“Best Diner Around”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 19, 2012

Lineups at lunch and dinner for years tell you how good the food is. House salad dressing and strawberry pie are two things you have to try no matter what else you order. Huge portions, fast service. Mile high sandwiches. Hmmm Hmmm good.
