“What a little gem!”
Reviewed August 7, 2012

If you like cars, this is the place to visit. Some of the most iconic cars in Canada are located here. Priceless antiques and some "different" brands are located in downtown Oshawa.

“Quaint, eclectic but worth a visit”
Reviewed April 23, 2012

Should you visit? Are you a car enthusiast? Are an avid photographer? Do you like museums in general?
If you answered yes to one of the first 3 and yes to the fourth then, yes, you should visit.

The museum is in downtown Oshawa, across the street from Memorial Park. There is free parking. It's in a heritage building that was the orginal location of Ontario Motor Sales. The cars are displayed onthe main floor and the second floor. The second level is only accessable by stairs. The washrooms are upstairs. There is no elevator.

Plan to spend an hour or two. if you plan to photograph the cars, be aware that they are packed in there like sardines in a can on the upper level. On the main level, the cars are more spread out but the lighting is undifused florescent tubes and some incandescents. A challenge to say the least, however our photography club managed to get some great shots.

The price is very low. There are cars from before 1910 up to 1975. There are two Rolls Royce cars, one of which was in the Timothy Eaton family. The last known surviving McKay automobile is also on display.

“Great Oshawa landmark!”

The best automotive history museum with insight into the industry that fuelled the surronding area. Very interesting for car buffs or those who enjoy local history.
