Beaches, splash pads, giant pirate ship, swings & slides for the kiddies. Lovely boardwalk to wander along. Plenty of picnic tables. Licensed Pub & Patio available. Pier that can be wandered on. And a good 5 to 10 degrees cooler that the city!

Oshawa has many great things about it, and one of the best is Lakeview Park.

It has beaches, play grounds a splash pad, soccer pitches that stay green all summer, baseball diamonds, a gazebo plenty of parking and lovely mature trees.

On any given day hundreds of people gather to walk, play, sit, read, eat , picnic or play a sport. Many days all those things happen at once. Later at the evening couples stroll by the lake, kids and parents Pokémon (and yes it’s quite a hotspot) and people hang out to see the sunset or enjoy the cool breeze.

In the fall the colours are pretty and by winter it’s rather cold but still pretty. If you come to Oshawa check out the jewel by the lake.

Saw both a bulldozer grading the beach and a stunt plane practicing out over the lake! Great view easy parking.

I'm not sure why the actual access to the lake is fenced---but there is a specific beach that people can access. Its a lovely walk, and you can walk either on the paved trail or the grass. It goes into a quiet residential area....then you can track back. Spacious with picnic tables too.

Beautiful park. Perfect day for a walk. Nice views of Lake Ontario. Not very crowded at all. Tons of bugs! I don't know if they were mosquito's or fly's but they were annoying!
