“Terrible service”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 8, 2013

Rather disappointing. On the positive side, the renovations were very nice, the food was good, but really overpriced.
This place is really pretentious and the service is terrible. I was there with a large group of friends. We arrived at 6:30. The waitress came around with a bottle of white wine and red and asked what which we would like. I've never been in a restaurant that didn't hand you a wine menu before asking what you wanted. We hadn't even been given a menu yet! At that time I wasn't sure if the people that got there a little earlier made such arrangements so I went along with it and made my choice, but I later found out that was not the case. It turned out to be a $12. Glass of wine.
Our dinner arrived at 8:30, two hours later, and on top of that, two of the people in our party got their's 15 minutes after everyone else. During our two hour wait, non of the servers came around to offer more water or bread, they weren't even in the room where you could flag them own. After asking for the bill we waited for another 45 minutes.

“Perfect confluence of atmosphere and cuisine”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 7, 2013

A chill place for dinner with friends; our new favorite spot in dt Oakville. Atmosphere is warm and positive, with owner George treating you like family. You will have the luxury of enjoying your meal at your own pace, organically ... no feeling rushed to make way for more patrons. I had the green salad, special beef tenderloin and part of my husband's surprise birthday dessert ... each element was a flavor explosion in my mouth and in perfect portion size. Just go, you'll love it.

“Seasons of disappointment!”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 3, 2013

Our dinner club picked this longtime favourite restaurant for our monthly gourmet outing. Seasons has been a staple in downtown Oakville for many years, and most of us hadn't eaten there in a long time. The worst thing about our dinner was the unprofessional and dissafected manner in which the staff runs the restaurant: a hostess that attempted to seat a party of 4 at a table for 2, waiting 45 minutes for drinks and couvert to arrive, wait staff reaching over guests dinners and wine glasses to dispense fresh pepper....I don't particularly enjoy a peppery Pinot Grigio. When my husband's dinner finally arrived, the waiter stood across the table from my husband holding the dinner plate with a napkin and stated "Be careful.....it's hot." while passing the hot plate over the table to my husband's bare hands!!!!!!! At the end of the meal, we requested a dessert menu, and our waiter told us that he would explain the dessert menu verbally. The dessert options seemded to change from guest to guest, perhaps in an attempt to match our personalities? or body types? In the end, some of us ended up with desserts others hadn't been offered. The food was average and much like most other reviewers, forgettable. The bill came to approximately $250 for 4. Honestly, save your money and eat somewhere else. We made the most of a comical evening and for us, it was the company of our very dear friends that made this an unforgettable night.

“Pricey, Small Portions, Good Food”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 2, 2013

$65 lunch consised of 1 glass of house wine, 2 bowls of pea soup, one small fried Brie appetizer with a small leaf of endive the size of a quarter, and a small portion of salmon quiche with a small caesar salad. In the past portions have been larger. Food tasted good but not good value. Will try elsewhere.

“2 Better Choices Across The Road....”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 23, 2013

As an Oakville resident I have been to Seasons before the reno and now twice after.....Sorry to say that the food is still just OK and the service just passable. We arrived at 7:30, had some drinks at the table and had apps. by 8PM which was fine...Caesar Salad was not all bad....but the mains arrived at 9:25 which was not acceptable. New York strip with fries was OK but after an hour of waiting we all should have gone across the road to Paradiso.
Overall the reno has brought Seasons out of the dark ages and all in all it looks more contemporary...the food however is still very much lacking. Maluca next door is under the same ownership and is great for a drink but the food also leaves a lot to be desired. Corks in downtown Oakville is also under the same ownership......but don't even think about going there as the food is some of the worst in town. The owners should worry more about the food they are serving than telling everyone they are on their way to their place in Florida!!!!
My advice to all is have a drink at Maluca and then head to Paradiso or Oliver's for your food. Let's put it this way..if any of these three restaurants were in a city like New York,Miami, London, Paris, etc they would have been out of business within a month.
