My husband and I spent the weekend at Staybridge, Oakville and were glad we did. It was our first time at this hotel, but I am sure not our last.
The room has a fully equipped kitchen with stove, fridge, dishwasher and dishes. You get free internet, breakfast ( eggs, bacon, saugage, waffles, yogurt, juice, coffee, tea, pop, muffins and toast). Breakfast is from 7:30am till 10:am. You can help yourself to coffee, tea, juice and pop 24 hours a day. We were in a standard suite, but they have one and two bedroom suites also. We enjoyed a swim in the pool. They have an exercise room that is fully equipped, but we didn't do that.
We found the staff very friendly and helpful.

We are actually from Oakville, and we stayed at Staybridge in June for 10 nights while our condo was being renovated. We would probably stay there again, for all the many good things about Staybridge--most especially value for money--,but would do things differently. I don't blame the hotel because we didn't do our research, but, given the choices we made, our stay didn't provide the kind of peaceful oasis we were hoping for in the midst of renovations.

1) We thought a studio would be big enough for us, but it wasn't. With two working people, two computers, one desk, no eating table and very limited communal space in the Hotel itself, we felt crowded. It would be ok for a couple who were always out, or for a short stay, but for us, the one bedroom (which had a living room and a breakfast bar) would have been much more comfortable than the studio.

2) The breakfast/supper room was, in our experience, far too small for the number of people staying at the hotel. No matter when we went, it was always noisy and crowded Combined with the fact we had no dining table in our studio unit, it was difficult to relax, ever, so the whole experience was actually very stressful. Many times we went back to our big, quiet, totally messy condo just to have some peace and quiet and space. Next time, we would simply take out food from the breakfast/supper buffet --the staff are very lenient and helpful in that regard--and eat in our suite, which, as I said, would be at least a one-bedroom.

I would recommend Staybridge Oakville to families with young children unequivocally. It really is perfect for families. For couples, I would share the above experience. Not so that they didn't stay there, but so that they could make the best choices for them. I wish we had had time to do more research in advance.

We as a family came from South Africa end of March for a Short term assignment of 6 months. My husband’s company made the suggestion that we must stay in Staybridge Suites for the first month while looking for alternative accommodation.
The first months stay was so pleasant that we decided to stay here for all 6 months. We felt at home with the staff and the other guests, we had new family. Our little one was only 9 months old, and was crawling all over and everyone made a big fuss about him. He is one of the first Staybridge walkers, and since then he was a celebrity. Everyone knew him and was looking out for him.
We celebrated his first birthday party at the hotel, with other hotel guests and staff, who at that time already felt like family. Staybridge went the extra mile to get him a special birthday cake, and helped to make that wonderful day memorable.
We stayed in a two bedroom suite, which had a king size bed and twin double beds in the main and second bedroom respectively, both with on suite bathrooms. The crib was already in the room as requested when reservation was made. The open space kitchen and living room provided more than enough space for us and the little one, with all his toys. The living room as well as the two bedrooms had large flat screen TVs. The kitchen was equipped with all the necessary appliances and utensils. Upon arrival we requested a kettle, which was promptly provided.
Throughout the hotel free wireless internet access was available; we also had a direct telephone number to the room, which was much more convenient for our families from South Africa to call us.
The room was spotless when we arrived. We had a light touch daily and a full clean once a week, or as requested. Housekeeping was extremely friendly and always willing to help. Whenever they saw our little one, they had an extra minute to spare, to play or joke with him. The rest of the hotel was also very clean and neat.
Front desk staff was at all times welcoming and very assisting from just enquiring about your day to help get directions. Nothing was too much trouble for them. I build a very good relationship with the staff, and for many afternoons when we waited for my husband to get home, we would sit and talk to the front desk personnel.
The hotel has a heated indoor pool, which we were very grateful for because our little one loves water and he learned how to swim there. The exercise room is just next to the pool, which included weight machines, two treadmills and a recumbent bike. Both these facilities were also very clean and fresh towels were supplied regularly. The laundry had 4 washers and driers, which was free of charge. The business centre was available 24 hours a day, with two PC’s and a printer/scanner/copier. There is also a 24 hour bridge mart, which stock the basic necessities. We were provided with an additional storeroom, which was helpful considering the amount off luggage that we had. The theatre room has 5 comfortable reclining chairs, an extra large flat screen TV and DVD player with surround sound. DVD’s are available from front desk. The theatre room also came in very handy as a playroom, for all the kids that were playing with our little one. Also provided in the theatre room are board games and storybooks. The conference room was made available for my husband on the days that he had to work from home, with no additional costs.

The breakfast was the reason why we needed the exercise room. The FULL buffet breakfast included the following: Cereal, oatmeal, wafels with cream, variety of breads, bacon, sausages, baked potatoes, eggs, fresh fruit, yogurt, milk, cheeses, and pastries. You know, a muffin a day, keeps the doctor away. There are a selection of soft drinks and juices available throughout the day, as well as coffee and tea. A light dinner are served Monday to Thursday, dishes are rotated to ensure variety throughout the month. During the summer we had BBQ nights which were a high light to all.
The best of all was that on 2 different occasion’s family from South Africa came to visit us; they had a warm welcoming on arrival, and a very emotional departure. All the people from housekeeping came to say good bye and had very good wishes for all of them. Seen that we had a room for maximum 6 people, all of them stayed with us, with no additional charges. We went away for 2 weekends to other hotels, and we all agreed that you can’t compare Staybridge with any of them-Staybridge Suites are just the best!
We as a family have to thank everyone at the hotel, staff as well as other guests, for the amazing time that we had in Canada. Words is not enough to thank you all for the enormous influence that you had on the development of our little one, you all made him the cute little boy, that everyone just loves-thank you very much! Thank you for the clean rooms, friendly faces, tasting food and the best friends that we made.
We are leaving Canada at the end of the month-not looking forward to say good bye, but if we came back, you will be the first to know. We promise that we will come and stay with you in Staybridge, just because YOU ARE THE BEST. We salute you for being our far from home, home!
What more can you say, if everything was perfect!

We are a family of four with two kids who are 8 and 6.
We recently sold our house in a neighbouring city and were awaiting our new house contruction to be completed so I scouted out a few hotels to cover the interim housing arrangements that our family would require. We stayed for just over 3 months.

It was clear that Staybridge Suites was the only option for us.

We stayed in a king suite with a pullout sofa for the kids. The privacy door between us and the kids gave us each our defined space, which everyone appreciated.

The suite included a kitchen with two-burner stove, microwave, dishwasher, full-sized fridge and other small appliances - including all smallwares necessary for our extended stay (pots, pans, utensils, etc.)
The room was extremely clean upon check-in and was kept consistently clean by the outstanding housekeeping crew (who are all extremely friendly - a universal theme in this hotel).

The hotel boasts a swimming pool, exercise room, 5 hole mini-putt in an enclosed outdoor courtyard, two gas bbq's for guest use, laundry machines (included - no coins required - a huge savings for my family), not to mention an outstanding daily breakfast service and dinners also included Mondays to Thursdays. All I needed to buy was food to keep in the ample sized fridge to make lunches throughout the week and dinners on Fridays and the weekend - if I didn't head over to my mom's :)

There were two large flat screen televisions in our suite (one for us and one for the kids) and free wireless internet. The kids found that their pull-out sofabed was very comfortable and I can't say enough about the fantastic sleep I got every night on our king-sized bed! It was hard to read a book at night because the bed was so incredibly comfortable, I'd fall asleep too fast! What was also nice was that there was never any bothersome outside noise while there; it was very quiet.

Now, imagine you've had a great sleep and come downstairs where, awaiting you, is a full breakfast - not continental - FULL! Fresh fruit, cottage cheese, yogurt, cereals, eggs, bacon, sausage, home fried potatoes, oatmeal, pastries, make-your-own waffle station, bagels, etc.
There is also a full selection of Wolfgang Puck coffees or hot water for my tea, a juice bar, or soft drinks. The drink area is available throughout the day and my kids really enjoyed being able to make themselves a hot chocolate at night for a treat.

There is also a little hotel store on-site that offers some basic items (plus) you might require, including some frozen dinners in case you don't want to cook on one of the non-meal nights and snack items for when you get the munchies!

There is a well-lit Business Centre room on-site which we didn't require but looked like it offered everything you could possibly need.

We took full advantage of the both the pool and exercise room (which includes weight machines, two treadmills, and a recumbent bike). There is always a fresh supply of towels available in both the exercise room and pool and both are kept very clean. The kids & I also loved the outdoor courtyard which also offers a 5 hole mini-putt and gas bbq's. The kids would have a great time playing outside with friends (built-in playdates with other kids staying at the hotel) while I could either sit quietly reading or chatting with other guests.

Another amazing amenity is the Home Theatre room which is equipped with 5 very comfortable chairs and a huge flat screen tv and dvd player. I made sure to bring movies with me to the hotel but even if you don't the hotel staff have titles for rent at a nominal fee. The hotel also has books available to read and board games for the kids to use.

I think what especially sets this hotel apart from many others is its staff - from check-in, to the restaurant, to housekeeping - everyone has a very outgoing, positive, upbeat, and wonderful attitude. The hotel manager also always made sure to say hello and ask how we were enjoying our stay. We were always warmly greeted and were treated as family. You could truly see that the staff enjoyed working there and were proud of their hotel and the service they provide - and rightly so. For us, the people made this hotel even more exceptional.

The hotel is conveniently located off all major highways, which was very helpful for my husband's commute to work each day.

I enjoyed meeting several wonderful families who were fellow guests and we made lifelong friends!

This is an excellent hotel, with excellent amenties, and an excellent staff and we know that we will definitely search out these hotels for all of our future needs.

Look no further - you've found where you should stay.
