remember Pat Morita in the "Karate Kid" movie? Imagine the perfectionism of Mr. Miyagi and his kindness applied to sushi in a small unpretentious restaurant.
the entire family loves to eat here or take away as often as possible.

don't stop at the menu, ask what the chef can prepare for you and you will always leave with a smile on your face.

It is a small, 18 or so seat samurai sushi joint, done up in Japanese décor. It was empty for a Saturday, with only one other customer. I had to move furniture to get my buddy’s wheel chair into it. The service was really bad, which included a elbow in the face, taking away the menus while my back was turned and before I could order, and telling me what to do from across the room.

I ordered the Vegetarian Teriyaki that came with rice and a salad for $7.59. I was disappointed because of the small portions; you think that the rice would at least be abundant. The vegetables were slivers of carrot, cabbage, onion, and bean sprouts pan fried with a Teriyaki sauce. It was kind of plain and it appeared to me that the cook poured the sauce on the vegetables after cooking, which explains why the sauce ran off the vegetables. I tried some Calamari and it was ok, but there was no distinguishable seafood flavour, but the deep fried flavour always works for me. The Dragon Sushi Menu appeared to be their signature dishes, and it looked like plate appearance and garnish is the culinary art practiced here.

This is a cliché, but I really did go home and cook a real meal, and got myself filled up. I wasn’t impressed, maybe it was the dish I ordered, or maybe Saturday is a bad day for them, but one thing is for sure they are not going to get returning customers because of the décor.
