“Elegant and Affordable”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 19, 2013

This is a wonderful restaurant near the shores of Lake Nipising in North Bay.

My wife and I were impressed with the decor and the several nook areas providing different lighting and ambience. We chose the formal dining room and had a private booth.

The menu is short but still offerred more than enough choices. We shared the grilled calamari appetiser which was excellent. Our main course was the 10 oz prime rib with fresh vegetables. I had mine medium rare and it was perfect. My wife's was medium and not quite as tender but still very juicy. We enjoyed our meals, the service and the quiet dining.

The prices are surprisingly affordable. This is the best dining I have experienced in North Bay!

“great lunch”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 14, 2013

My fiance had to be in North Bay on business and our baby and I tagged along for the trip. We were staying in the same area as Churchill's, and the office she was in was just down the road. I am often in North Bay and have always wanted to try this restaurant.

After reading reviews for restaurants that were close by, we definitely wanted to try this place. We decided to try it for lunch for a couple of reasons (prices, and we didn't want to take an 8 month old baby in there around the dinner hour).

We got there right around noon, and were the first guests in for lunch. The waitress was extremely friendly and couldn't stop coming back to talk to our baby (he's very charming lol). She seated us out in the sun room, which was very nice, and brought us a highchair for the baby. I don't recall the waitresses' name, but she was a tall redhead, a very nice girl. The room was very lovey, well lit, and looked over the gardens. Only two other guests ended up coming in while we were there.

She brought out a very tasty loaf of sliced bread with butter and a Greek spread. I got the prime rib sandwich au jus with fries. This was a very good meal and the fries were great, just as the waitress advised. My fiance got the daily special, which was the gnocchi, with a salad. I got to try one of the gnocchi, which is supposedly made onsite. They were large and very good.

The prices were a little higher than most places, but the food and atmosphere were great, so it was worth spending a little more. It was a nice treat, and would be nice to return to treat ourselves to a nice dinner there sometime without the baby.

Worth a visit.

“Fodd with a smile”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2013

We were introduced to this establishment by our Daughter and son Inlaw and from the minute you entered you had to be impressed with both the rooms and the staff. food was prepared with care and was done to perfection. The menu is changed on a regular basis and is suited to almost every ones taste. We highly recommend this restaurant. And to the owner we thank you for a great night.

“One of our the best”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 7, 2013

This gem in North Bay, is on of the best restaurants ever, the food, service, atmosphere, is just awesome. The gnocci gorganzola is too die for. Wish we could go more often, Right on Lakeshore, on the water, and if you are staying for fhe night, can't beat the Sunse Inn next door. Bon apetit

“Cracking pub”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 4, 2013

Ate in a part called Winnies Pub, pub menu but you could also select from the restaurant menu Staff very friendly, the atmosphere was warm with some big ice hockey game on the screens. The beer ( a local brew) was excellent. The eight hour ribs are to die for, might return tomorrow!!
