“Wonderful surprise”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 27, 2013

Noting against Tim's, but sometimes you're looking for something a little more in a counter-service restaurant. Nice, low-key atmosphere, even when busy. Dine in or take out. Range of good quality baked goods, sandwiches, pizza, and sides. And excellent coffee roasted on site. Quality does cost a little more, but you don't feel gouged. Service is friendly and fast.
The best pit stop between Ottawa and Sault Ste. Marie.

“Great place to eat!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 13, 2013

I've stopped here a few times and I love it. The soup and sandwiches are delicious and the pizza is to die for! They make the crust there and all the topping are fresh. The coffee is also good and cheaper than the chains like Tim Hortons and such. They have homemade pie and cake that is also delicious. They also serve beer and wine if your looking to have a drink with your meal. Overall it’s a very nice restaurant if you want to have a coffee and just relax. It’s kind of like a Starbucks but better, they have fancy coffee and lattes like them. North Bay has two locations, the one downtown has outside seating but this ones does not.

“Busy means its a good place to eat!!!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 17, 2013

Stopped here for lunch recently while passing through the Bay. It was busy, certainly a locals hangout. i tried the pizza, it was only $7 or $8. I thought it was for one person, this thing was huge, served on a cookie sheet, very delicious and hand made. half of it came home in a box with me. Coffee was great as was the dessert selection, sandwiches looked good too. This place would put any thing similiar in Toronto to shame for service and value and quality. stop if your in the area, 2 locations in town apparently.

“Better than a "Coffee shop"”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 26, 2013

This isn't your regular Coffee shop, this place has it all and some food. Their gourmet pizzas are tasty and very reasonably priced. The down town Twiggs doesn't have the same menu (ie pizzas) and also a "better than a coffee shop", the McKeown Twiggs has a better atmosphere and menu.
My only room for improvement mention is they should buy up more of the plaza and put in leather couches with a expansion.
This place would also be a perfect location for a blind/first date, or a great value to take the wife (like I did).
