The Carousel is a work of art. At 53 years of age, I have ridden it, just to appreciate the craftsmanship and the mechanical marvel of it and its music machine. As for the train, it is amusing for the children. This is part of the reclamation and re-purposing of the ancient lakefront rail-yards, as North Bay works to capitalize on its gorgeous lakefront, beaches, amenities and revitalization of its Main Street. Parking is plentiful and across the street from the Carousel. I recommend you make a day of it at the beach, the Chief Commanda restaurant (an old converted ship), the Chief Commanda II (a tour ship) nd/or lakefront park. If coming by boat, the Municipal Marina is there, as well.
