The Carousel is a work of art. At 53 years of age, I have ridden it, just to appreciate the craftsmanship and the mechanical marvel of it and its music machine. As for the train, it is amusing for the children. This is part of the reclamation and re-purposing of the ancient lakefront rail-yards, as North Bay works to capitalize on its gorgeous lakefront, beaches, amenities and revitalization of its Main Street. Parking is plentiful and across the street from the Carousel. I recommend you make a day of it at the beach, the Chief Commanda restaurant (an old converted ship), the Chief Commanda II (a tour ship) nd/or lakefront park. If coming by boat, the Municipal Marina is there, as well.

I loved both the carousel and the heritage train. We are certainly not kids, but I was smiling ear to ear from start to finish. It was definitely great entertainment for adults and kids alike - the carousels were beautiful!

Two amazing carousels and a 'mini' train for the kids. Very nice for a few bucks. All run by volunteers apparently.

This park consists of a miniature train and 2 carousels. It costs $2 a ride or 3 for $5. We have 2 kids so it cost us $10 for the two of them to ride each thing once. Their favourite was the train. In all it takes about 20 min to do it all. Note if it's raining the train doesn't run. There is a really nice new playground across the road at the beach from this park.
