A few of us came here thinking we would give it a shot. Being fully Greek, we had moderate to high expectations. In short, this restaurant fell a mile short of our expectations. The food came quick but had an odd taste to it. the potatoes were as if it had been sitting out for a while or microwaved or something. And the moussaka we ordered had the same rubbery taste and texture you would expect from a microwave dinner. To make matters worse, the set up is awkward as the cash register is set up right in the isle where others eat ( where the servers stand) making it as if you had no privacy. Not to mention that it was small enough for the flies that they had to find a home for our table.. All 3 of them. The place had a family of flies entrapped in the dangeon of a basement.
The prices were typical but we would have rather went to a place with a patio and more space and obviously better food.

“Best Saganaki ever~”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 3, 2013

This place had the best flaming cheese I have tried anywhere! I had the cheese ravioli and alfredo sauce and it was really good! It did not look like a lot, but I could not eat it all myself, so my husband was more than happy to finish the job! The service was great, we had a really nice waitress. I would eat here again for sure!

“A hidden Gem”

Not the best view. Don't let the basement location discourage you.
The food is excellent. It is a favorite for the locals who want a good inexpensive meal.

“Fournos A Pleasant Reprieve”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 31, 2013

Amidst the overindulgences of restaurants and bistros in Niagara on the Lake, it's nice to discover this Greek-themed restaurant where one can dine on appetizers and wine, and depart pleasantly satiated but not overfed. The two of us ordered two appetizers, both first rate: a plate of grilled eggplant and red pepper, and a plate of calamari tempura, which we shared. We also ordered a glass each of local Niagara wine, also excellent. While we noted that most diners around us were munching through delicious looking Greek-style mains, we were happy to take our time on the two appetizers and the wine. An hour later, once the lights went down in The Studio Theatre, and Tom Stoppard's Arcadia began, our minds and bodies were ready for two hours of great theatre.
