“Just Perfect”
Reviewed August 28, 2014

Wonderful lunch on a beautiful day overlooking beautiful vineyard.

If you prefer to skip the tiny appetizers get the cheese board instead to start your meal. Five excellent cheeses and really a good value considering it served all four us and was just enough. Cheese both opens and closes the appetite so it is perfect to have with your wine.

We had at a table of four - two Lamb, one Capon and I had the Ginger Beef. Then we shared the Gourmand for two which is a sampling of the four desserts- just enough for a taste and perfect as the meal was surprisingly filling. Everything was phenomena and presentation was lovely!

The service was done well and there was no pretense that I felt -so maybe they read the reviews here and toned down the snooty other guests felt. We were not dressed well and by that I mean t shirts jeans and tank tops it really it was a spur of the moment decision to come for lunch. The meal was pricey for lunch and set you back a few c notes but for what you get it was well worth it. The wine was tasty and we did a flight of ice wine in the tasting area after and bought a few to take home.

I don't think you can really go wrong if you want a memorable meal.

Cheers!

“Not accommodating.”
Reviewed August 27, 2014

Not accommodating. At 6:15 pm we wanted to order a cheese plate and a couple of glasses of wine after our tasting session. We went out to the terrace and were told they were closing due to it being a slow night. So we went to the dining room which was empty except for one couple. We asked if we could sit and have a cheese plate with a some wine. No, they were booked. Completely inflexible and uncreative. Just working stiffs doing as little as possible. Stick to the small wineries.

“Not quite as good as it should have been”
Reviewed August 26, 2014

Setting is gorgeous and our meals were interesting and well prepared (one of us had the 5-item tasting menu); service was attentive and pleasant; but there was a false note somewhere, maybe a bit of pretentiousness. Womens' restroom was a mess, should have been checked more often.

“BIG BONE IN MY PULLED PORK BURGER”
Reviewed August 25, 2014

That place is so pricy for the the kind of wine they offer. They called all their wines special reserve and they sell them the year after they produced. Besides, I found A BIG BONE the size of a 25 cents in my pulled pork burger. Do not go there !

“lovely food and service”
Reviewed August 24, 2014

FIve of us dined on our first night in Niagara on the Lake. Three of us chose the tasting menu; two also chose the wine pairings. Each course arrived with an explanation of the course and the wine paired. The two guests who did not choose the tasting menu were offered wines recommended to complement their food. Everything was great, although I did question an amuse bouche pate followed quickly by a liver offering.. Dessert included local peaches and other fruits. A very pleasant evening.
