“slipped a bit”
Reviewed July 20, 2013

Had an anniversary dinner here for the 3rd time but was disappointed. service was just ok and the chef surprise was pricey and not worth the money. They had no decaf coffee and dessert was miniscule. It was Canada Day w/e and everyone seemed tired and rushed. Female server was rather curt and the carpets in dining need a cleaning. The scenery as always was breathtaking. My spouse got the wrong entrée and no apologies were made and he ate it anyway after a long wait. I am not sure we will be back after a very expensive dinner that was disappointing this time.

“Lunch with friends at their favorite winery”
Reviewed July 19, 2013

Peller Estates Winery Restaurant is located in the middle of Peller Estates Winery grounds in heart of Ontario on the Lake, Canada. Beautiful setting overlooking the vineyards. The restaurant has inside or patio seating available. However, since it was somewhat overcast we chose to be seated inside. The waiters and wine stewards were superb. (However, we did not appreciate the flies that kept pestering.)

The scenery is definitely beautiful at this time of year! I am glad you enjoyed your experience. It is the time of year for the flies- and we have done our best to get the issue under control. Thank you for your feedback!

“Culinary delight”
Reviewed July 18, 2013

Our dining experience at Peller was one of the highlights of our holiday through the US and French Canada. We chose to end our trip to Canada with a special lunch at the winery and it was certainly one to remember. The meal was superb in every way. We ate a la carte but ended up having three courses (shared dessert) as we couldn't find any excuse not to try something else on the menu. The wine was a treat and definitely the best we had experienced in Canada - a tough but fair comparison to Australian wines. The food was amazing and the service excellent (thanks Lou-Anne). Even though the day was very hot we sat on the patio to soak in the view of the vines. Gourmet dining at its best.

“Delicious and Innovative Dinner”
Reviewed July 16, 2013

My husband and I ate here for our first wedding anniversary. We had booked a special promo for a three course meal. We did not have wine as we had enough during the tasting and on the tour but once explained, were not pestered to order any, which we appreciated.

The scenery is stunning - each table has a view out over the vineyards which is very picturesque. The service was a little slow but it seemed they were under-staffed. We thought if they had one more wait staff on hand it would have been better but our server certainly did his best and our water glasses never sat empty (they have a water glass person who was always filling glasses). When we asked for the bill as we did not wish to linger, we received it promptly which we really appreciated.

The bread was delicious and fresh. Our appetizers were really good. A slight panic was when the tuna I ordered was actually sashimi and the menu did not indicate this and I was expecting seared or cooked tuna. I don't eat raw fish but luckily my husband preferred that to this appetizer so we just traded and it worked out fine.

Entrees were stunning. Beautiful, unexpected combinations of food, and just delicious.

Dessert was quite possible the best dessert I have ever had. Both our desserts were innovative and modern, and delicious.

While expensive, this dining experience is worth it, at least once. It takes the fine dining we were used to and elevates it to a whole new level. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal here for our anniversary.
