Description: The Cannery menu will appease every appetite with a balanced selection of seafood, meat and vegetarian options. Our executive chef prepares generous portions that allow local Niagara-on-the-Lake ingredients to shine. Top it all off with a sweet and savoury dessert featuring fresh local fruits or devilishly dark chocolate. Every guest will leave satisfied with great service and an outstanding taste of Ontario cuisine. Every dish can be complemented by a selection from our extensive Wine List, filled with local and international favourites.

“package menu choices and overall accommodations”

Food and service was great (Kelli was our server for dinner 3/23/13 and Patti was our server for breakfast 3/24/13). I have one suggestion regarding the packages that the Pillar and Post offers...Provide a larger menu choice for dinner. I understand that ever increasing operating costs need to be addressed however, upon review of your entrée prices it seems feasible to us that more choices can be offered with the packages. (as you did in the late 90's through, I believe, 2004). Overall the accommodations, as with our previous accommodations at the Pillar and Post, were great.

“Steak & Seafood Beyond Expectations”
Reviewed March 18, 2013

We made a last minute decision to visit the Cannery Restaurant at the Pillar & Post in NOTL and to our great surprise - they have reinstated the old (fabulous) menu. The past couple of visits had been a little disappointing with a more "funky", "trendy' menu, albeit, still top quality.

My preference is more traditional but the quality must be the best. I'm a simple man, a medium-rare tenderloin and succulent lobster tail side is all I ask. The Cannery nailed it on Friday night. The food was fabulous and the service was beyond expectations.

When the experience is this good.... I don't mind paying a little bit more for perfection!

Highly recommended - 2 thumbs up.

“Beautiful and Delish!”
Reviewed March 17, 2013

We ate at the Cannery which was included in our "Great March Escape" package. The restaurant is quite pricey however this package offered a great value. We were half an hour early for our reso but luckily it wasn't busy and we were seated right away. Our server DEREK was very friendly, professional and honest. If he didn't know the answer to a question he went out of his way to find the answer as quickly as possible. He did a wonderful job! We had the prime rib (which had some of the best/spiciest horseradish cream we had ever had) and the Shanghai Noodles. The noodles were also delicious but also very salty! We almost filled up on the foccacia bread because it was so tasty. The servings were generous and the atmosphere is beautiful. We went to The Tiara at The Queen's Landing the night before where we also had an amazing experience! If we had to choose between the two, we'd probably return to The Tiara. The food there was beyond amazing, there were prie fixe menu options, and the setting was a little more romantic - offering a nicer view. But you can't go wrong with either of the two restaurants, especially because of the top notch service that's offered. Thanks Derek!

“Happy 40th!”
Reviewed March 17, 2013

My girlfriends and I went to the Cannery Restaurant before hitting the spa at the Pillar and Post!
The service was attentive. We received roses...I don't think this a regular practice but it was a nice touch! The food was beautifully presented and delicious! I had the sweet potato fries because they were recommended to me! They were awesome! The staff brought out individual little ketchup bottle...so cute! Next time I will try the beet salad! It looked so good! The setting is cozy and the fireplace was beautiful!

“Breakfast Buffet”
Reviewed March 15, 2013

The best we have ever had in our travels. A young chef was available to cook your eggs/omlettes to your liking. There were sausages, pancakes, homefries, pastries, fruit and more. Everything was so fresh and tasty.
