Our executive chef prepares generous portions that allow local Niagara-on-the-Lake ingredients to shine. Top it all off with a sweet and savoury dessert featuring fresh local fruits or devilishly dark chocolate. Every guest will leave satisfied with great service and an outstanding taste of Ontario cuisine. Every dish can be complemented by a selection from our extensive Wine List, filled with local and international favourites.

“Fireside Delight”

Great meal by the fire with terrific service! Thanks Patricia! The only down side was the noise from a wedding (kids) but everyone needs to enjoy!

“A wonderful annual tradition”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 9, 2013

I love the Pillar and Post and I love their restaurant. Our family has been going there since I was an infant. The quality of the cuisine has gone downhill over the years, but the atmosphere, friendly service, and traditional dishes like the prime rib are still reliably delicious. Perhaps I'm just nostalgic, but I still love this restaurant and if you're staying in NOTL, it's a lovely quintessential NOTL landmark to visit for a romantic dinner in the town.

The buffet breakfasts are ok - the best part being the omelette chef.

“Food was great but service was a little slow”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 12, 2012

We went for lunch here and there was a group of us. We all ordered different items from the menu. I thought that the service was slow but I must admit the food was really good. I only ordered a hamburger but it was excellent. Very tasty. The beet salad was very good and the Creme Brulee was delightful! Too bad it took so long to get dessert I would have loved to have savoured it instead of woolfing it down. I would like to come back again for lunch if I have a few hours to spend. The surroundings are really nice!

“Excellent New chef”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 1, 2012

I have enjoyed many meals here with the menu showing major revisions and improvements in the last year. Prime rib is always melt in your mouth good. Make sure you ask your server for a bottle of niagara wine, and if unsure request them to pair something with your meal. Generous portions and great service, not your usual fine dining experience. Must try!!!
