The Grand Victorian is outside Niagara on the Lake, which is great, because it is away from the chaos of NOTL.
We checked in around 1, and our room was ready. We had the Jackson Room on the main floor and I was a bit worried it would be loud with foot steps above, but that was not a problem.
The house is huge and impressive. Our room was very large, had a big comfy bed and a big bathroom with lots of hot water.
The house has a wrap around porch with lots of places to sit and take your beverage of choice out to and sit and watch the gorgeous sunset over the vineyards of Reif winery.
Next morning we had an amazing breakfast of fruit and cheeses and a tasty egg strata, plus I have to say the yummiest croissants I have ever tasted, jam and breads.
This is a quiet and peaceful place, no TV's, so if you can not be away from this kind of entertainment then you shouldn't stay here.
If you would like to stay in a century home set in a beautiful winery, across from a water view, then this is the place for you.

Room Tip: We stayed in the Jackson room and loved it, main floor at the back of the house and very quiet.

The old house , outside of town, has very large rooms onthe second floor. The decoration is old and stylish. The equipment in the rooms is basic, do not expect a lot.
The great thing of this place is the breakfast, which only is served from 9 onwards. Lots of homemade stuff, very tasty.

We visited Niagara-on-the-Lake for the first time last week. We chose to stay at Grand Victorian based on reviews and availability. We were extremely pleased with our decision. The house was immaculately clean and beautifully restored and decorated. The host, her husband and daughter were warm and welcoming and couldn't have been more helpful. The breakfast was bountiful and delicious, with a selection of gourmet bread, meat, cheese and jam along with a home made casserole. There were also high end toiletries and a refrigerator. Please keep in mind that there is no television on the property. Normally that wouldn't be a problem; however, this was a jam packed sports season with hockey and NBA playoffs as well as Wimbledon tennis matches. Bicycles would have been nice but, other than that, everything was great.

This was our first time staying at the Grand Victorian and all I can say is wow. This place is filled with history. The layout was amazing and the host was extremely friendly. She explained everything and even gave us vouchers for the winery next door. I really liked the buffet style breakfast. There were plenty of choices and everything was fresh. The sitting/den area is really nice to chill in. We put some LPs on and relaxed with some wine. The rooms have a nice layout and the beds are comfortable. I believe all rooms have a fireplace (we stayed in the river room) and it really sets the mood. Highly recommend to anybody staying in the Niagara on the Lake area.

My favourite place to stay!! A lovely, very clean, comfortable room with the glow of a working fireplace. We stayed over a weekend to celebrate my husband's birthday! It was our second time visiting. The last time was in the summer, also absolutely beautiful and relaxing with a gorgeous view of the Niagara River and vineyards. I loved going for a morning run along the river path. The owner and hostess Eva, is very helpful and she provides excellent service and a scrumptious breakfast buffet. I would be happy to stay again and again!

Room Tip: Each of the rooms has different features and your choice would depend on the season. Enjoy checking...

We spent last week end here and what a wonderful experience. We've stayed in B& B's before but this is a step above. There are six rooms in a fantastic old Victorian, pretty much as it was when it was built. It has been lovingly restored and most of the wood work and all the windows are original. Comfortable modern bathrooms and big canopy beds along with a wonderful breakfast on china and silver make you feel pampered. Go next door to Reif winery and bring back a bottle to sip in the parlor or better yet on the porch! We will be back!
