We decided to stop as we were driving through Niagara-on-the-Lake. We got there about 10 minutes after the hour, and the tours start every hour on the hour. Well, the tour guide hadn't left because there was no one there at the hour, so they asked and he took us on a tour. William was very knowledgeable about the winery, and winemaking. We also learned about wine tasting even though we have been on some in the past. There wines are excellent and award winning. If you like French wine the owners are fifth and sixth generation winemakers. The equipment that they us is from the same company in France that their family has been using for over 200 years. The grounds are beautiful and the staff is friendly. They even host wedding and events. The best accidental stop I've made.

Our group of about 85 from the small cruise ship went to Château des Charmes as part of our day trip into Niagara Falls. We were split up into 3 smaller groups and then taken on a short tour of the winery. Following the tour, we were served a scrumptious buffet lunch along with wine tasting.
We tasted the following wines:
> Sauvignon Blanc -- nice chilled white wine; I prefer a little more bouquet and flavor
> Rosé, Cuvée d' Andrée -- I'm typically not a big Rosé fan, but this was nice and crisp
> Cabernet Franc -- a very nice full-bodied red
> Vidal Icewine -- super-chilled ice wine that was very sweet and a nice way to finish the meal

Overall, the trip to Château des Charmes was a great delight, and all the staff were quite friendly and knowledgeable.

My parents, friend and I stopped in at CDC this past weekend. We were warmly greeted by Sherry who had to run off and set up for a wedding. She pointed us to the tasting room. Upon entering the tasting bar it was so congested that we thought to leave. Will happened to spot us and said that he would be able to serve us at the cruiser table. He was very knowledgeable and even though he had to run back and forth he was constantly checking up on us. Will pointed out the Equuleus to my father who is a huge Big bold red fan. Thanks to Will we had a wonderful experience and will recommend him specifically to our friends.

We visited this winery in the end of long day in Niagara. Finally, it was just small degustation. But we like it very much. Ice wine is perfect. The Winery itself is very beautiful. Would strongly recommend to visit.

Went for a tour today hosted by Julianna she was very informative. Amazing to see the process to see how the wine was made. Beautiful scenery. And excellent wine.
