Arbour View B&B
Reviewed July 5, 2014

6 of us on a girls getaway and we had a wonderful time. All 3 rooms are spacious, very clean, beautifully decorated (as is the entire B&B), and comfortable beds. The veranda is canopied by beautiful trees, surrounded by gorgeous gardens, overlooking the lake and Queens Royal Park. Ahhh, so relaxing. And it's a very short walk (2 blocks approx) to shopping, restaurants, theatre.
Hosts Jeanette & Bruce were welcoming, warm, friendly, and accomodating. The breakfasts were delicious & home-cooked - all fresh ingredients. The Arbourview was the perfect place for us. We booked all 3 rooms for 2 nights and had the place to ourselves. We've booked for next year already and can't wait to go back.

This was the second year we stayed at Arbourview with hosts Jeanette and Bruce. We stayed a week both times. Last year in the Lakeside Room and this year in the Riverside Room. The hosts are very accommodating, Bruce creates each breakfast plate in the morning and explains the ingredients made to order. My spouse had some diet restrictions and they were very accommodating. The conversation at the table with the other two couples each morning staying in the other rooms provided enlightening experiences. One that can not be matched in a typical hotel. The difference between the Lakeside and Riverside rooms other than the Lakeside View is more direct of the lake that the Riverside Room is a much larger soaker tub/shower and is deeper to step into. However both rooms are very comfortable, have mini fridges to put in drinks. Great views of the lake, walking distance from anywhere you need to go in town. If you have never experienced a bed and breakfast experience, then this property would be a great one to try as your first. As you will be spoiled and may never stay at a hotel again. Unfortunately and sad to say, we learned that Bruce and Janette will be finishing up their last year as hostesses and moving on to big and brighter things, and the bed and breakfast will be owned by another set of hosts after this Shaw Festival Season. We wish them continued great success in their new adventures and hope the new owners will be able to match the great service and accommodations that the Arbourview has provided for many years for us. We will return again for one night to stay in the Gardenview Suite on our next trip up before the fall approaches. We will miss Jeanette and Bruce dearly.

Room Tip: All three rooms are great choices. You can't go wrong with any of them.

My boyfriend and I had the pleasure of staying at Arbourview this past weekend.

We love when we come across a truly exceptional B&B experience, which is what we experienced at Arbourview!

We stayed in the Lakeside suite which was very comfortable. We had beautiful views of the lake, and the breeze that came in through the windows was so refreshing. Our room was well-appointed with coffee, tea, water, a TV, and a DVD player. The bed was perfect.

The location truly was the best - right down at the lake, across from the gazebo and a five minute walk up to the main street. We lucked out with amazing fall weather, making it perfect to explore and enjoy dinner and lunch in NOTL.

Of course our favorite part of the B&B experience is the breakfast, which we absolutely loved at Arbourview. Bruce had fresh scones made (I had three!!), accompanied with fresh fruit and a fantastic egg dish, with peameal bacon on the side.

Bruce and Jeanette are such wonderful hosts - we so enjoyed spending time talking with them at breakfast. They had so many great stories to share, and we could easily tell that they truly love meeting new people!! Our highlight of our stay was chatting with them over breakfast.

I have already recommended this B&B to numerous people - the hospitality that Bruce and Jeanette show is wonderful and it is evident how much they enjoy what they do - it was a definite treat away from the city!

Jeannette and Bruce were fabulous hosts! The breakfast was creative, healthy and substantial. Our room had a fabulous view of a park and Lake Ontario. There was a beautiful deck and sitting area. The gardens were gorgeous. Very short walking distance to dinner and the theatre. Highly recommended! We have already booked again for next year.

Room Tip: Lakeside suite has an excellent view of the lake.

We have visited Niagara on the Lake on numerous occasions and without a doubt our stay at Arborview was outstanding. The location is perfect with its beautiful views, gardens and easy accessability to all the attractions of the area. Jeanette and Bruce, our hosts were very welcoming and informative. Our room, Gardenside, was very spacious and the King size bed was amazingingly comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and conversation with our hosts and other guests delightful. We highly recommend Arborview. Riitta and Richard

My wife and I needed a get-away. We love theater and decided to go to the Shaw Festival. Rather than a hotel, we wanted to use a B&B. I can tell you that Arbour View exceeded all of our expectations. It is a great location - we walked to all of the theaters (as a matter of fact, we never got in the car after arrival until we left).

Being on the water was very relaxing. Watching the activity from the porch allowed me to unwind while my wife shopped and enjoyed the downtown area.

Breakfasts were wonderful and Bruce was even willing to share his recipe for scones. The rooms were comfortable, large, and very clean.

We have already made reservations for next year and we do not even know what shows will be presented. This was what the doctor ordered.

We highly recommend Arbour View to anyone looking to get away, enjoy theater, and unwind.

Room Tip: There are only 3 rooms. We liked the one with a seating room, but would take any of the three.

We have stayed at the Arbourview on numerous occasions, in all seasons, and we keep coming back. We have also stayed in all three rooms. Our personal favourite is the Gardenside because of the four poster king bed and the separate shower and soaker tub. Each room is unique with its own great features and is tastefully decorated with antiques perfectly in character with NOTL. If you're there in the nice weather, enjoy the lovely porch and garden. The location is perfect within easy walking distance to shopping, the theatres and restaurants. There is a lovely view of the lake from all rooms. Before staying here, we were not big fans of B & Bs because you feel like you're invading the proprietor's home. Here the rooms are in their own separate wing with their own entrance. The best part of the stay is the hospitality of Bruce and Jeanette who are so accommodating and friendly. Bruce's breakfasts are varied and outstanding , always including home baking, fruit and a filling main course that keeps you going until dinner time.. I ate three cranberry scones this visit! We will look forward to our next visit as we always do.
