Best Western Colonel Butler Inn
Certificate of Excellence

We picked the Colonel Butler for our stay, as we had been here previously and enjoyed the accomodations. The complimentary breakfast is very good and the kitchen staff kept everything clean considering it was quite busy. The rooms are clean and the hotel was quiet even though busy. A very enjoyable stay for taking in local wine tours. We definitely will return!! Doug & Pam Cook

We just recently stayed at the Colonel Butler Inn. I found the Inn to be extremely clean and the staff were amazing. It was conveniently located just a short drive from the shops and many wineries. The amenities were great right down to the fresh baked cookies you receive upon arrival. I used the fitness room and it had just what I needed to work out. The breakfast had many options and satisfied everyone in my party. I give this place two thumbs up.

We appreciate you taking the time to let us know how your stay was and for giving us such high compliments! I'm so glad our hotel provided you with everything you needed for your visit to Niagara. We are very fortunate here to have a team that love their job and pride themselves on service and cleanliness. And our freshly baked cookies at check-in and our complimentary breakfast are definitely big hits with our guests. We hope you can join us again soon!

We stayed at this hotel with a group for a wedding. We booked a suite, which was nicely decorated, and clean but very small, and over priced for what it is. It's the type of hotel I would expect to pay 100/night for. We were expecting more for what we paid.

Dear Amanda, thank you for your feedback on your recent stay as it helps us to improve. I'm sorry to hear that our hotel did not meet your expectations. Please be assured that our rates are very competitive for Niagara on the Lake, especially when our rates always include breakfast, wi-fi access, and parking. Although our King Superior rooms do provide ample guest area, over the next 6 weeks we are making some changes to make them even a bit more spacious. And for those guests that prefer a lot of extra space, we recommend our King Superior Room 216 which is incredibly spacious. We hope you will give us another chance to serve you and I'll be glad to send you pictures of the King rooms once the changes are finished.

A very nice hotel about five blocks walk from historic downtown. Easy drive to many wineries and local attractions. Some of the furniture could use a refinish and there are some minor paint and bathtub staining issues. Still this is a great clean and comfortable alternative to some of the higher priced Inns we have stayed at previously. The breakfast is a nice bonus. Didn't know about pet room option that another traveler mentioned in review. In room directory says that "Best Western" Colonel Butler Inn has a no pet policy. Should update this as more travelers with pets might want to consider staying at the Inn.

The Butler Inn is easy to find, with sufficient parking. The check in staff were helpful and friendly. The room was very clean, quiet and comfortable. The bed was a bit hard but that is a personal preference. Staff were friendly but not intrusive. The continental breakfast was well stocked although I did not see any bagels set out. Best of all Tim Horton's is right across the road.

We recently stayed here as it was the closest hotel to the Stratus winery where we attended a wedding. Our stay was short but very nice. We loved our room. Queen superior, with sofa, mini fridge and fireplace. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and continently breakfast was good. We would stay here again.

We checked into this hotel as all the more expensive hotels in the area were fully booked for family weekend. It may not be plush, but it was clean and comfortable and the service was second to none. We were greeted with fresh baked cookies and our dog had his own special present with a bone shaped name tag! The room had a bed for him and food and water bowls. We also had the use of a very reasonably priced pet sitter. The hotel is partnered with others in the area and so there is a shuttle to the high streets fine dining restaurants. The first night we settled for the bar and grill attached to our hotel. Perfect when you arrive late and want something quick, and again brilliant service. Breakfast was simple but fresh and nicely laid out and the make your own waffles is always a hit with the kids. The town of notl is just lovely, especially in fresh snow. And then of course the falls, just a 20 minute drive away and spectacular in the big freeze! It is such good value we will visit every season!!!

Thank you for your 5* review. Our pet room and services has been a big hit with both pets and owners alike and we just love having dogs come stay with us. I'm glad to hear you had such a fantastic stay enjoying our complimentary breakfast and your meal at Butler's Bar next door which is a great spot for a casual or late-night bite to eat. We look forward to see you again soon!
