We returned to the Abacot Hall after having a great stay there last year. It was just as good as last year even though it is now under new management with Ed and Irene at the helm.

We arrived in a damp Niagara on the Lake to find our welcome letter in the mail box at the front of the house. We went in and made ourselves at home as advised on the letter and of course we knew the house already. We stayed in the King George room this time and found it just as good at the Elizabeth room last year with everything you could need. The B&B is really just like home from home, very clean and comfortable and nothing is too much trouble. Breakfast was delightful and cooked to order by Ed, “Eggs Abacot” certainly worth a look. Both Ed and Irene are super hosts and took time to chat over breakfast and any other time you saw them, a really nice couple.

So was it as good?
You bet! Abacot Hall gets a well done, a lovely place to stay and we have no hesitation of highly recommending it to others. We would stay again no problem. Thank you Ed and Irene, you have certainly maintained the high standards.

We ate in the Angel hotel on the first night and can only say this is well worth trying, the fish and chips in paper at the table was lovely. Niagara on the Lake is also a very pretty town and lovely to walk around. We have found a special wine produced by the Creekside Winery called Creekside Sauvignon Blanc 2010 and if you like a crisp white wine of exceptional quality then this is it. Corks the Bistro in town serves it for around $30 a bottle and if you are lucky the LCBO across the street sometimes has it for $13.95 plus tax.

Room Tip: All 3 are super.

The location is fantastic - you are within a 30 minute walk of about 8 vineyards, very close to the center of town, and about a 30 min drive to the falls. Ed and Irene are great hosts, the place was pristine in terms of cleanliness, and the amenities were superb (such as bikes, coupons, DVDs, and coffee/tea. Would definitely recommend and stay there again.

Not having stayed in a B&B in a couple of decades at least, I was apprehensive. With an experience like this one, I am going to be searching for B&B's on future trips. Irene and Ed were fantastic hosts, making our stay lovely. Their home is just that: a home away from home. It is immaculate and nothing is left to chance. Ed is a fabulous breakfast chef and the rooms that Irene and he have set up are cozy and comfortable. I/we will certainly stay here again and recommend it without hesitation or reservation.

Room Tip: Only stayed in the Queen Victoria, but seemed like the other two rooms available were equally lovely

We recently spent 2 nights at Abacothall B & B.
Our hosts Ed and Irene went out of their way to make our stay most pleasant..
The accomodations were very clean and comfortable.
We especially made good use of outside seating on lawn and private deck.
Breakfast was delicious. They provided us with bikes and winery coupons.
Hopefully we can return next year.

It was my parents' first time at a B&B and they absolutely loved it! While we've stayed in several already, the Abacot Hall was one of the best we've stayed in. The rooms were clean and lovely and the breakfast was delicious! Ed and Irene were wonderful hosts and very quick to suggest places to eat and see. They even have a book with all the menus of the restaurants in town! We stayed in the King George while my parents were in Queen Victoria. King George is the only room with the king-sized bed so ask for that one if you can. If we're ever in the area we'd definitely stay here again!
