“Fantastic Stay”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 11, 2012

My husband and I stayed at Abacot B&B 2 weekends ago. We had a fantastic stay. Ed and Irene are great hosts. We arrived early and we able to check in to our room right away which was great because we were being picked up by Crush wine tours early afternoon. Ed suggested a fantastic dinner spot and made reservations for us for that evening. Dinner was in walking distance of the B&B and they had great food and entertainment. Our room, the Queen Victoria room, was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was great. Honestly the best cup of coffee I ever had, and my husband loved the tea. The bread was amazing, along with everything else. We both really enjoyed our breakfast and with talking to the other couples as well as Ed and Irene. We would definitely stay here again. The only downside is that it is about a 15 min. walk to the lake and the main street, which isn't bad, but it is a little farther than I originally thought. Other than that - it was everything we expected and more. Had a great evening!

Can only reiterate what all the recent reviews say, Ed and Irene are sweethearts, felt like we had known them forever. They really know their way around town and the surrounding areas, lots of good tips on various wineries, restaurants and other attractions. Breakfast was unbelievable, could not help but be a glutton and order Ed's 'Eggs Abacot' both mornings. His take on Eggs Benedict includes delicate ham and a yummy sauce with a hint of lime. Comfortable room and beautiful surroundings. They even loaned us some bikes for a tour of the area on the extensive recreation trail that runs along the river and around town. They aim to please and they certainly do!

We recently stayed at Abacot Hall B & B for the first time and it was a wonderful experience. The grounds were immaculate with a wonderful balcony view. The room was very clean and comfortable with an ensuite bathroom with shower which made our stay even more comfortable. Ed and Irene were very welcoming and friendly. Breakfast was absolutely delicious and plentiful..the homemade bread was great and I recommend the eggs abacot with a homemade lime mayonaise. We definitely would stay there again and for two nights next time!

We were really made very welcome by Ed and Irene in their lovely B & B. A really excellent breakfast menu superbly cooked by Ed. A lovely balcony overlooking the back garden or comfortable lounge for a relaxing time, after a day out, with a cup of tea or coffee from the refreshment area before heading off into beautiful Niagara on the Lake, about 5 mins, for a wide selection of good restaurants for an evening meal. You will not go wrong with Abacot Hall.

I took my family (virtually all of them!) to Niagra on the Lake the past weekend - we had the sincere pleasure of staying at Abacot B & B. I can honestly say I found it to be simply wonderful and I cannot emphasis how welcoming and friendly Ed & Irene are (I literally felt like I had known them for years !)

I would strongly recomend Abacot and I will definately be returning !

Room Tip: Downstairs is cooler in high summer !

We recently stayed at Abacot Hall for the eighth year in a row. This Bed and Breakfast is under new ownership with Ed and Irene now the proud owners.
This B&B has always been our favourite not only in NOL but overall. Ed and Irene have done a fabulous job of maintaining the fabulous traditions that the previous owners created. The accomodations are fabulous and the food is spectacular. The menu has been maintained and Ed is excellent in the kitchen.
We recommend this B&B highly and look forward to our next stay at Abacot.

I have stayed at Abacot 3 times and always enjoyed the lovely rooms and the delicious made-to-order breakfasts. The owners are very friendly. I love reading on the back terrace and riding on the (complimentary) bikes around town. Very positive experience!
