Once again we stayed at the historic Davy House B&B! We've considered trying another B&B or hotel in the area, but we know how pleased we have always been to stay here and we don't want to risk getting anything less. Over the years, we've stayed in and enjoyed all the rooms. This visit we decided to try Suite 1844 which is downstairs. How cozy and inviting with its own sitting room and a fireplace. If it were winter we would so enjoy that fireplace! After a wonderful three days of wine touring and tasting, dining and theater, we were a little sad to leave although quite rested. We love this B&B and its hosts, Jeff and Flo. Thanks again for a wonderful stay. We will be back!

Our trip to Niagra on The Lake and our stay at Davy House was a gift from our son and daughter in law. The B&B they chose for us was Davy House, and I don't know if it was by design or a happy coincidence. It is located in the historic district of NOTL within a short walk of the theater and shopping district. Jeff and Flo are the delightful hosts of this Historic Inn and we were totally blown away by the entire experience!
The attention to detail borders on obsessive, because everywhere you look there's new detail you missed the first time. The restoration of the house is impeccably done and incorporates all the details of the mid 1800's with all the modern conveniences.
Down stairs are the common areas consisting of a very warm parlour where you can have coffee at any time and a dining room with the original windows looking out over the back yard. There is a good selection of DVD's that you can take to your room in the unlikely event that you run out of things to do.
Our room was number 1842 at the top of the stairs. It incorporates a full bath with a full glassed in shower and a neat porcelain sink on an antique washstand. The pine floors in the bedroom have been restored using a special glossy epoxy finish and it just glows.
The queen sized bed has a canopy frame and was very comfortable with a variety of throw pillows and a selection of soft or firm sleeping pillows. The lace trimmed sheets are a nice touch with a lovely comforter for the chillier evenings.
The is an antique washtub stand at the foot of the bed for whatever you feel compelled to put on it. There are also two comfy old fashioned upholstered wing chairs with a small table between them. On this table is an ample supply of weurther candies which I completely cleaned out (sorry about that Jeff but they are my only candy fetish).
For those that wish, there is a fan in the hall that that can be used if you are so inclined, and also a supply of slippers you can use when going down to the hot tub in the provided Terry and Satin bathrobes.
The back yard has a well thought out theme of Koi pond and lush treed vegetation with a putting green included. A covered swing at the rear of the property provides some privacy for those who want it. The hot tub in this area is kept at 108 degrees which was perfect for us. There are plenty of yard chairs for you to sit and relax in and a wonderful and calming place to share a bottle of wine or have your morning tea or coffee.
The cobbled, well manicured parking area at the front of the property is a delight and there is a smoking area here for us puffers.
The real surprise was the welcoming nature of Jeff and Flo and the epicurean delight of the gourmet breakfasts they serve punctually at 9am. This is one meal you don't want to miss believe me!
We felt right at home shortly after our arrival due, no doubt to the warm and welcoming nature of Flo and Jeff. The nice thing is that they make themselves available to their guests 24 hours a day if you do have any problems. We couldn't find any flaws in the service and accommodations and I believe they have raised the bar on the standards of B&B's.
Well done you two and thank you for the wonderful experience!
Glen and Barbara Latour.

Room Tip: There are five rooms in this B&B, some upstairs and on the ground floor. There are some in the lower level of the house also. What ever you do, try and book early because I can only see this place getting busier.

There are few places besides home where you feel at home. this is how we felt at Davy's Inn: Home. The inn is perfectly situated, right jn the center in a quiet tree lined street. Jeff, & Florence-the inn keepers- (and their two cute dogs) welcomed us warmly in their lovely and well decorated house. The backyard has a hot tube -we didn't use it but it was still on mid September when we went there- and a mini golf.
Our bedroom 1841 (main floor) was charming, warm and clean with a king size bed (I should say we almost couldn't wake up in the morning!!!). The kindness of our innkeepers and the charming environement they have created made us fall in love with Niagara on the lake. I can't find words to describe how perfect our stay was.

The breakfast cooked by Mr was excellent. Products are freshly baked or cooked (Orange and dates muffin are unforgettable!!!). I truly recommend this inn.

This wonderful B&B has it all...welcoming hosts, gourmet breakfasts, beautifully decorated rooms and oh, so comfortable beds. The lovely garden is a refuge from a busy day, offering a putting green and a hot tub. Add to this a central location for shops and theatres and you have the perfect combination for a visit to Niagara on the Lake.

We have stayed at many places in NOTL over the years and must say that Davy House is TOPS! Perfect location - quiet, yet easy walk to everything, very comfortable bedrooms and lounge, lovely garden, parking, the best breakfast, and wonderful hosts who made us feel most welcomed in their home. We highly recommend staying at Davy House.

Room Tip: Recommend you book early as they have a high repeat clientele.
