“A little bit of Heaven in Niagara”
Reviewed October 3, 2007

Graham , Aldo and Rufus the dog were fantastic hosts.

The premises are beautiful and contained wonderful antiques.

Breakfasts were a feast to behold, The eggs were eggcellent and muffins sinfully filled with fruit A great way to start our day.

Look forward to going back

We stayed at the Britaly the night of September 16 and found that the other Tripadvisor reviews did not lie! The English Room was excellent, probably the nicest we have encountered in a B & B anywhere...extremely comfortable and well appointed, with its four-poster bed, comfy sofa and charming decor. Breakfast was delicious and our hosts most hospitable and welcoming. I would recommend the Britaly without hesitation. Value for money was excellent!! M. Campbell, Ottawa

We have never stayed in a B. & B. before and was very skeptical. Good friends had stayed at the Britaly twice and highly recommended it to us. We cannot say enough good things about our experience. An excellent idea would be to eat a late lunch to save yourself for the breakfast experience that Graham and Aldo prepare, with such pleasure, it makes you feel much welcomed in their home. We had the pleasure of staying in the Italian room, coming home from a wine trip to have our bed turned down, a treat and breakfast menu left for us. We have been greatly spoiled for our next B. & B. adventure. Herb and Angee Fleury

Again, like others have said this is a real find. We stayed here in July. Our flight was delayed by over 4 hours and we gave them a quick call to forewarn them we would be late but unlike some other hosts there was no complaint that we would arrive after 10pm. We stayed in the English room as after a 7 hour flight we wanted the convenience of the en-suite bathroom. The room was a good size and well appointed with a large, extremely comfortable bed and air con. The bathroom was spotless and we were impressed by all the pictures and attention to detail. I think everyone has mentioned this but the breakfasts are top notch. It was so nice to have our hosts come and chat with us whilst we were eating and they, and the other guests, were full of useful information about the local area. Add to this tea available in the hallway before breakfast, Rufus and a very quiet location and you have a perfect B&B. It’s just a shame that with our delay and subsequent tight schedule the next day that we could not enjoy the garden and shared lounge.

We spent two nights after reading all the wonderful reviews on TripAdvisor. We were not disappointed. Our room was comfortable, overlooking the beautifully kept garden with the gorgeous fish pond.
Satellite TV was available in our room and we could watch it from our big comfy bed.

Our hosts Graham and Aldo were friendly and welcoming. The food was delicious (fresh muffins every morning) and we enjoyed getting to know the other guests over breakfast. We hope to be back next summer.

We loved our stay at the Britaly B&B. We arrived from the Middle East and didn't know much about the region (except for the Falls, of course). Aldo and Graham took the time to acquaint us with the wineries and theatre offerings and made sure that we had a good time.

As for the B&B itself, it was immaculately clean and beautifully furnished. We particularly loved relaxing in the gorgeous garden out back (and especially watching the fish pond!). Our room (The English Room) was SO cozy and comfortable - with its own sitting area and washroom, it really did feel like home. If there hadn't been so much to do in the Niagara area, we would have happily curled up in our room all day!

Regarding the breakfasts, as other reviewers have stated, they were wonderful - three or four courses, all homemade. Aldo and Graham even catered to my dietary restrictions.

We would highly recommend this B&B to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable, beautiful and quiet place from which to explore the Niagara region.

Having just returned from a three week tour around South East Ontario, we were very impressed after staying for two evenings.
We were booked in the Canadian room which was decorated in a traditional style. Although this room did not have an en-suite, the private bathroom was only four steps away.
Aldo and Graham were excellent hosts who gave us useful information on 'wineries' and scenic drives. Breakfast time gave a good opportunity to speak with other guests.
Their homemade breakfasts were a lot different from the norm and were presented very well, including Peach muffins and Blueberry and Apple tart..
We have no hesitation in recommending this B&B to fellow travellers.
