A very charming place to stay in a fabulous town. I would visit again and not hesitate to stay in the same Inn.

Beautiful rooms - large, quiet and well appointed. We stayed in 2 rooms as the suite was not available for our entire visit (someone else had already reserved it). Both had fireplaces and had their own uniquenesses which lent to the quaintness. Robes were complementary and there were fireplaces in each of our rooms.

Service was good but not on par with top-rated hotels - I saw little evidence that they would go the extra mile. When we asked about hiking/walking trails, we were given vague guidance even though there were wonderful paved paths nearby. When we made reservations, we were told that there was a shuttle service and found out after we arrived that it was only available between 4 and 10 PM and had a very small service area (3.3 km). This information would have been helpful before we made the decision to forego a rental car. They did allow us to check out late on our departure date - much appreciated for such a small place.

Breakfast was good and the area was cozy. Somebody described it as a European breakfast but I thought it was "Americanized" as it had limited meat and cheese selections and a lot more sugary dishes than I have found in Europe

AMAZING! STAY HERE! My wife and I stayed here on Canada Day and celebrated fireworks at Fort George only 5min walk away. At the hotel, there was afternoon wine tasting where we met some other friendly visitors staying at the hotel. Next morning had the amazing delicious breakfast included. So relaxing atmosphere. Also eat at Zee's Grill only a short walk away so you can enjoy! Will definitely return.

Thank you for taking the time to reflect on your stay. Yes, Fort George always put on a fantastic fireworks show to celebrate Canada Day. I am glad to hear that you enjoyed our wine & cheese and was able to meet some of our other guests.

Hopefully we will have an opportunity to welcome you back to Harbour House.

Sincerely,

The room was clean, roomy and comfortable. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good with a nice variety. If you have any type of allergies or specific food requests, I would just mention it to the staff as I'm sure they will accommodate your needs. This property is a nice walk into town but Dave will shuttle guests where they need to go- just put your name on a list in the morning so they have a schedule. We stayed during the very hot week in July so we utilized the shuttle almost every evening. They really strive to be sure that all guests have a happy and relaxing experience while staying at this property.
The only "negative" comment I would make about the room is that I wish there were more drawers for clothes. I like to unpack everything when I am staying somewhere for more than a day.

Room Tip: The room was comfortable and quiet for a good night's sleep. The bed was very cozy too.

We just spent 3 nights at HH, had a great time from the time we checked in to the time we left.
The staff met us upon arrival, explained everything to us, breakfast hours, wine and cheese in the afternoon, bike rentals and showed us to our room. Again the explained the features of the room.
The staff was very attentive to details. Several days prior to arriving at HH we recieved an email from HH asking us if there was anything they could do for us i.e, dinner, spa, show tickets or winery tours reservations while we were in NOTL. We asked them to make several dinner reservations ( we knew the restaurants we wanted to go to), they got back to us within 30 minutes with all of reservations. As an added plus HH has a shuttle service which is available after 4:00pm. Great way of going to/from dinner.

Our experience has been the opposite of the last reviewer. Check in was fast and easy and they showed us around. The room is very nice, clean and good bedding. The room is large and well appointed. The bathroom is really very nice we have a Juliette balcony. The breakfast was very good with a nice selection of pastries, breads, fruit and a hot dish.

Very attentive and the staff has given USA great deal of suggestions re restaurants, the Falls, Wineries etc. they also have bikes you can rent. The park that is 100 yards from the Inn, has miles of trails along the Niagara river.

This was our fourth stay over the years at Harbout House. Continues to be a first class place. We stayed in the 3rd floor honeymoon suite, large one-room overlooking harbor. Plenty of room to move around, desk and reading chair. Large bathroom with oversized tub and separate shower. Breakfast always fresh and decent food options. Location optimal for NOTL activities. Housekeeping thorough every day, room always clean and prepared. No dedicated reading lights if in bed, pillows good but not great.

Tips:
(1)Nice after breakfast walk is to go left on Ricardo street and pick up the Niagara parkway trail. Will take you through some woods, past Fort George and onto the parkway. Can then walk to John street and go to Peller Estates winery. We really like their sparkling ice cuvee wines, both the rose and white, usually order a case or two to take back to the states. They hold them for us and we pick them up on our way out of town. Can then hike back to town and to the hotel. Overall a nice 1.5-2 hour excursion.

(2)If having a theater day (matinee & evening plays), try dinner at Zee's, at the Shaw Club and right across street from Hotel at Queens Landing. Both on expensive side but we had excellent food and ate out on the deck at Zee's.

(3)Wine to the states. We have always brought back between 6-9 cases of wine from various wineries. We were only asked to pull over once and have never been charged any additional money. Too much paperwork apparently. Brought back 8 cases this year and were never even asked how much we had. Just waved through.

(4)Two of our favorite slightly out of the way wineries: Maleta-excellent sparkling Reisling; and Colineri-no sparkling wines but some wonderful red/white options

(5)Dinner at Niagara College Culinery Institute well worth the drive. Great setting and fresh, interestingly prepared foods. And, their own wines are also quite good. Definitely search this place out. .
