We had stayed at the Angel years ago in the summer and it was great then, so we decided to come back. We only stayed for 2 days in February 2014 and it was so super quiet. Which was great because I got a lot of writing done. We were literally the only people in the hotel. The Olde Angel Inn is a great pub as well. We ate lunch there on both days. We highly recommend it especially if you like old historic buildings, ghost stories, and quiet quaint towns.
