I would like to provide you with some feedback on my recent golf experience at your Royal Niagara property.
My wife and I are both golf enthusiasts and we made plans to travel to the Niagara area this past
weekend to enjoy the region and take in a round of golf. I'm sure you can appreciate that in the 200km drive from our house to Royal Niagara we must pass
in excess of 100 golf courses. In the Niagara area alone there are dozens of choices for the golfing dollar. My wife and I chose a golf course with a corporate
name that we believed represented quality, to quote your website "The Kaneff name has been synonymous with quality and a commitment to excellence for over 50 years"
I think its fair to say that the runt of the Kaneff litter is Royal Niagara. We should have taken notice of what was to come when we could barely read the weathered sign
on Glendale Rd directing you to the course. As we approach the entrance to the property it was nice from far, but far from nice. You proudly fly both the Canadian and USA flags
which would suggest that you cater to the American golfer. I would suggest that if this Kaneff property is their first exposure to your 6 golf facilities it would likely be their only visit.
Our experience at the course began with a golf cart that has to be at least 12 years old, according to the manufactures sticker under the seat. The top half of our windshield actually fell
off as we pulled away from our parking spot. The speed of the cart is barely above a walkers pace. At first we thought we would excuse the peripheral/cosmetic flaws and let
the actual golf course speak for itself. It spoke loud and clear. The dead and worn down to dirt area surrounding the fairways and greens, the weeds and dirt exposed greens and the
rotten smell coming from the ball washers spoke volumes. It is clear that Royal Niagara is NOT a priority for the Kaneff family yet you still feel justified charging $70.00 per round.
The other featured Niagara area golf courses are far superior to the Royal Niagara property and are priced in the same range. My wife and I thankfully booked our tee time on
"Golf Now" and at $49.00 we still feel we did not get our moneys worth.
My wife and I felt that it was only fair to direct our concerns to you and invite your response before we spread the word of our experience to others. I trust that if your
true to the mantra on your corporate website "The Kaneff name has been synonymous with quality and a commitment to excellence for over 50 years" you will be committed
to ensuring this is not our lasting impression of the Kaneff golf experience.
