“Very interesting”
Reviewed October 22, 2013

Free to get inside, which is always a great starter! Very interesting if you take the time to look everything over and talk to the attendant. He has great knowledge and really brings medical history to life for you. A great way to spend 30 minutes.

“Free and Fascinating”
Reviewed October 16, 2013

The Niagara Apothecary Museum is located across from the historic Prince of Wales Hotel in the beautiful and quaint town of Niagara-On-the-Lake just outside of Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada. This museum is actually a step-back-in-time; the apothecarey looks just like it did a century ago! It holds fascinating relics of days gone by, and gives the visitor a glimpse into medical history with some of the pharmaceuticals on display in the original display cases! It is a self-guided tour but there is someone there who can answer any questions you might have. Stop by if you are in town; you won't be disappointed.

“Interesting Artifacts”
Reviewed October 14, 2013

This is a great place to stop for a few minutes while navigating the shopping crowds in Niagara on the Lake. There is room to move about and actually see the displays. The volunteers / staff who work there are knowledgeable and friendly.

“A (literal) oldie but goodie”
Reviewed October 10, 2013

A look back into our pharmacy past is interesting. I love the bottles, the labels, and the way people tried to heal one other back when NOTL was established.

Not flashy, not fancy, just simple, understated, and quietly instructive.

A very interesting exhibit. No admission fee and well worth a donation. A lot to see and read. The owner was very friendly and informative.
