The Olde Angel Inn (Circa 1789 - burned down as a result of the war of 1812 and rebuilt in 1815) is situated in the heart of the historic district. We have 5 cosy, comfortable historic rooms and we are a short stroll to the Main Street and Shaw Festival Theatre; as well as a short drive to many of the local wineries. We offer hearty British Pub fare as well as 24 selections of draught beer on tap and 17 different wines by the glass. Live entertainment is provided on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights (Wednesday during peak season). Stop by and visit Canada's prettiest town!

“Great Beer and Decent Pub Grub”
Reviewed July 5, 2013

We have visited this quaint old pub many times and its charm continues to please. A wide number of beers on tap, decent pub grub and an atmosphere that would be hard to replicate. Don't expect gourmet, but visit this establishment to get away from the glamour in this town. And, gentlemen, be prepared to practice your marksmanship on your trip othe loo!

“Great Comfort Food!”
Reviewed July 4, 2013

Had dinner this past Tues night. Steak and Onion pie and the meat loaf in puff pastry. The food brought back memories of Sunday night dinners when we were kids. Delicious. The service was perfect as well. Didn't see the ghost of Captain Swayze but loved the food.

“Disappointing”
Reviewed July 3, 2013

We stopped in at the Angel Inn looking for a good ole fashioned serving of Fish and Chips. The decor is forced and a tad dirty- real English pubs don't actually look like that, the food took ages and was burnt - the fish wasn't light and crisp but greasy as were the fries. Sadly this is not the first time, we thought it was a one off and the reviews have been so good - it likely would be different this time....we won't be back!
