Description: Step through the doors and back into history! The Olde Angel Inn (Circa 1789 - burned down as a result of the war of 1812 and rebuilt in 1815) is situated in the heart of the historic district. We have 5 cosy, comfortable historic rooms and we are a short stroll to the Main Street and Shaw Festival Theatre; as well as a short drive to many of the local wineries. We offer hearty British Pub fare as well as 24 selections of draught beer on tap and 17 different wines by the glass. Live entertainment is provided on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights (Wednesday during peak season). Stop by and visit Canada's prettiest town!

“Great Find !”
Reviewed November 2, 2012

This is an old english tavern that is haunted. It doesn't look like much but the food is fabulous! One of the best meals in Niagara on the Lake. Try the beef stew it is fabulous. They also have a fabulous Apple beer that you can't find everywhere. Just a nice time .

“A jewel in niagara”
Reviewed November 1, 2012

This is as close to a traditional English pub I have ever experienced out side of London. Low ceilings, creaky floors and incredible beer selections will take you back to old niagara. If your going to have a beer in niagara, don't miss this place!

“Great atmosphere, Good food at reasonable prices”
Reviewed November 1, 2012

This is one of the oldest taverns in Niagara on the Lake. The atmosphere is reminiscent of an English pub. The shepherd's pie was very good. Service was prompt and efficient. They have a diverse menu so you can go English or not.

“Great for drinks but live music is pretty much standing room only”
Reviewed October 30, 2012

We had a reservation for dinner and we made it for 8 so that we could stay and see the live band playing at 9:30. They first were going to seat us in the bar area but were told we had to be out by 9 as the band had to set up? So they moved us to the dinning room which is up the stairs. Dinner was o.k but nothing special, but they have a good range of imported beer. The problem is that after dinner we wanted to see the band but the way they have them in the pub it is really hard to see them. They are in a corner and are blocked by a wall that goes through the pub. We tried to move to where we could see them but it is very limited so not a great place at all to see live music.
