Charming cottage and Jean is the hostess with the mostess. Very accommodating to my dietary requests and the Full English cooked breakfast is the best. The rooms were spotless and very cozy. Just a short walk to town...I will definitely be booking my room in advance.

Room Tip: Book early since there are only two rooms.

Jean Stewart loves what she does and it shows. Tired of those perfunctory B&Bs, the owners/custodians who do their jobs and have done with it? Not Jean. Great food, great beds and rooms and a host who loves to help and serve. Jean loves people, period. She'll accommodate your diet and your schedule.

The Stewart house is close to town and the Shaw playhous(es), the wineries, the Niagra River and the falls are 15 minutes up the road. Cable TV if you want it, rather quiet, and not in the annoying bustle of the tourist crowds. (Well, sure, you're a tourist, too, but you won't feel like one.)

Jean is a Scot (from sometime hence) and she doesn't serve a haggus though she might if you asked. But if you're from the East Coast and bring some scrapple she'll surely cook it for you. (Well, pork instead of sheep and corn instead of oatmeal, but you get it.) She's just that kind of host!

We passed through Niagara-on-the-lake on our way to Toronto and stayed at the Stewart House. Jean was so hospitable, easy going, and gracious! The accommodations were exactly what we were looking for. Very close to the main avenue that's full of bars, shops and restaurants. Jean, was waiting our arrival the house is clean, lovely and peaceful. She made my husband and I feel so at home! Will definitely be coming back for another visit!!!!

We stayed at the Stewart House for a night after having attended a play at the Shaw Festival. The Stewart House is a charming old cottage, a comfortable walking distance from the downtown, restaurant and theatre areas. It is spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Jean Stewart is a charming, warm hostess. She was even up quite early the next morning to get us breakfast for an early departure. I would recommend this B&B to everyone.

Stayed our first night at another B&B in Niagara on the Lake which was very nice but this one made you feel at home. Jean was very welcoming and warm. The room was very nice and the bed very comfortable. Breakfast was generous so it was a good start to the day. Nice veranda for taking your coffee in the morning or a glass of wine at night. It is approx. a 25 min walk into town but the area is very nice so no worries. Would definitely go back.
