Description: At Ravine we are blessed with a culinary program that has a lot more to offer then just talented cooks in the kitchen. We are among the few self standing restaurants that bake our own bread, raise our own pigs, grow our own certified organic vegetables while pairing our meals with the guidance and discriminating palate of a wine maker and in house sommelier. We are extremely proud of our service team and confident in the level of hospitality that will be shown to your table whenever you choose to dine with us at Ravine.

We stopped into Ravine on a whim as we headed home from a weekend in wine country and we were just absolutely delighted by our visit. Ravine is the most gorgeous winery in the region. It was a picture perfect experience. Delicious burgers with salad made from just picked veggies, dinning outside with a view of the vines, a gorgeous glass of wine to accompany the meal (Sand and Gravel Sauvignon Blanc - amazing!), surrounded by other couples and families enjoying a similar lovely and lazy afternoon. The complimentary wine tasting offered with your meal is a great touch. The salt flakes on the butter - small detail but it was the best butter I've ever had. :-) Anyone in the area absolutely must make a stop at Ravine.

Great lunch, great atmosphere, great server! The only disappointment was the price of the bottle of wine we had at lunch. $25 and to find we could purchase it at the tasting room for $14. I understand a charge to serve it but $11!! However we did purchase a case of the awesome Chardonnay musque! Always a fabulous meal here when we visit this area.

The restaurant was full (holiday weekend... best to book way in advance if you know you'll be out there) but we found 4 seats at the outside bar, and really enjoyed the wood-fired pizza special of the day. Staff was courteous and service was quick enough (the bar filled up, the picnic tables were filling up-- it was humming!). I'll definitely be back, both at the bar and the restaurant!

It's a 20 minute drive from downtown NOTL to Ravine in St David's but certainly worth it. It is a nice dining room with a view on the vineyards. There is also an outside bar with a wood burning pizza oven. The food is very good. I really enjoyed the special appetizer, baked marrow. It was very original and delicious. The asparagus soup was nice but not original. My main course, lamb sirloin, was perfectly cooked, very tasty and very tender. Delicious! My wife's Trout was fine but again nothing original. I guess it is just a question of ensuring you order the right dishes. I thought the prices were quite reasonable given the quality of the food. All in all an enjoyable dining experience.
