Description: At Ravine we are blessed with a culinary program that has a lot more to offer then just talented cooks in the kitchen. We are among the few self standing restaurants that bake our own bread, raise our own pigs, grow our own certified organic vegetables while pairing our meals with the guidance and discriminating palate of a wine maker and in house sommelier. We are extremely proud of our service team and confident in the level of hospitality that will be shown to your table whenever you choose to dine with us at Ravine.

We went with another couple. The two women had the lamb shank, which was very tasty. Service was prompt. As one would expect, the wine list is heavily oriented towards the Ravine's output--opinion were mixed about the different varieties sampled. There were three or four tables of six to eight people (some kind of business meeting?) and that made the noise level too high. Likely not a problem if larger groups are not present.

Better value for the price than comparable "downtown" NOTL restaurants.

Will return.

Long story short, the power went out along the main strip of Niagara-on-the-Lake and our dinner reservations were cancelled. We managed to get a late reservation at Ravine, and went without really knowing what to expect.

The food was amazing. Perfectly cooked, perfectly presented, it was beautiful. I don't think there really could've been a better meal experience, as far as the food goes.

The only negative was that service was slow. Our server was dealing with two large tables (10+ people) so our table of 2 was largely ignored. We didn't receive bread with our food, and our wine took a long time, and for the most part we felt pretty forgot about.

I assume it was just bad luck though, and I'd still go back for more.

We not only love the amazing food, including the outstanding charcuterie with some of their in-house smoked meat (which, by the way, they even have as organically raised animals on the vineyard!), but their organic wine just keeps getting better and better. We are in their wine club and look forward to our package every month. Their Cab Franc and their Meritage reds are to die for! We have been to Napa Valley 4 times doing wine tours and this place measures up. What a lovely place for lunch or dinner or to just laze around the bar and the pizza oven in the summer, over-looking that beautiful vineyard. Truly a gem that my husband and I look forward to every time we have a moment to get away and appreciate so very much. In the winter, we rented the "cave" in the basement (pictures below) and had an awesome party like no other! The food, the wine, and the old vinyl records and record player were awesome and kept us dancing all night. I can't say enough about this place!

We live in Toronto and go to NOTL at least 2-3 times per summer and make a stop at Ravine every time! The ambience is awesome, the service is so friendly and the wines are all excellent!!! Most wines are also very reasonably priced!! With the purchase of a bottle (which you will likely leave with because the wines are so good) - tasting fee is free!
